There have been over a million hits since August 2005 and I’ve highlighted some of the more interesting statistics. Of course, today is the anniversary of Daniel’s contact!
One of the most interesting stats is what pages are the most popular besides the top level pages. By top level pages, I am referring to the Home, Writings, Multimedia and Controversies pages which are consistently the most frequented.
It probably shouldn’t be much of a surprise that the following pages are the most visited destinations after hitting the top level pages:
April May June Page description
2116 2753 2655 Atoms,Galaxies and Understanding
1526 1786 2111 White Sands Incident
1769 1583 1783 The DFDC forum
Listed are the “hits” for the last three months and I put “hits” in quotes because it counts everything, including hits by the google, msn and yahoo search bots.
The next three pages with the most hits are the Understanding Pamphlet, They Rode in Space Ships and curiously, the cover page for the 1967 Understandings.
The server is handing out about 40MB of data a day and services about 4000 hits/day on average. Each “session”, i.e. when an IP address hits the website then leaves, is about 22hits, which translates into about 150 unique visitors a day spending about 4 minutes on average at the site. Looking back over the stats, there was a jump from about 115 visitors a day to about 200 visitors a day from February onward.
