DFDC went public exactly one year ago today. Read about what has happened in that time!
Yup, it was exactly one year ago, that DFDC went live.
Below is a graph of the traffic to DFDC. We changed servers early in the life of DFDC which means the statistics are only good for 9 of the past 12 months:
From Urchin, the statistics package that was used, here is a description of what is shown:
A ‘Session’ is defined as a series of clicks on your site by an individual visitor during a specific period of time. A Session is initiated when the visitor arrives at your site, and it ends when the browser is closed or there is a period of inactivity.
The statistics are over-estimated by about %20 because I frequently visit the site during the day and there is no doubt Urchin is counting my sessions as well. I would say the total visitor count is around 9,000 over the nine months, with an average of 40 visitors a day.

As the results show, most find the site by using the search terms “Daniel Fry” and as of today, a search for Daniel Fry on Google, returns the site with a rank of two!! (second in the listing) However, considering the first ranked site is now defunct, DFDC will soon be ranked first! Not bad for just a year in existence.
Over the past year, DFDC has seen the completion of over 4000 pages of Understanding Newsletters and numerous books added, along with the controversy section. More videos, tapes and pictures were also added to the multimedia section.
