that or 15 how long has it been going about 58 58 well that's about 17 years isn't it so that's that's a long time and i've uh enjoyed many fine lectures is that right and i i really think it's wonderful for you people that have kept this going all these years because it is not easy to keep an organization going i know that from past experience thank you aren't you mr forsyth yes uh this is mr mr forsyth who is the president of the you rent uh scott forsyth uh of the rancher group at the brentwood school it's fusila isn't that is that not right and my wife and i have attended several of their meetings and they had a very fine um conference about uh i think it was the first weekend of april wasn't it three

days and a half and a half and a half and a half and a half and a half and a half and a half and a half days and i i wish many of you could have been there because these young people and incidentally this group is made up of mostly young people which is very gratifying and they had done some terrific work with slides and color and poetry it just astounded me i think that a group like that should be should be commented that they are really worthy we're glad that you're here tonight checking up on me well i think before i get into talking about my book it might be of interest to give you a little idea of how it came about i've been delving in metaphysical

work for over 20 years and each year i think well i'm going to really find the answer and i haven't found it yet the most interesting search i um you probably noticed on the notice uh that the lords of lippica uh is the subject partly of my book now where did the lords of lippica ever come from who ever heard of the lords of lippica well i had the pleasure of knowing a very fine medium by the name of frank hughes he was an englishman that had come over to america and for about four years years before he died i met with him often well almost on an average every week or two and attended his seances and sessions and during one of these sessions there was a a entity by the name of darius that came through and gave a lecture to a group of incarnating

souls and telling them of the uh the sacrifices and the works of the lords of lippica these lords of lippica were more or less known in our holy writ as the sons of light if some of you will recall there was the era of abomination in the early formation of our world in the way of man where there was a terrible act of sodomy, the relationship with animals, and things more or less got out of hand. And I think it's said somewhere that God thought he'd done a pretty poor job, and a little bit sorry about what had come out of this creation. So these lords of Lipica, and there were 144,000 of them,

that came down into the human life stream to help pull man up by his bootstraps. Literally, by his bootstraps. They were known in the past as the giants of the earth. Not the physical giants, but the giants of intellect and the giants of dedication. And they were known in the past, or might be recognized as some of our great scientists, men of such caliber as Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, the Bacon Boys. And so...

all of the great men in the past history. These men came down into the life stream of humanity, not knowing after their birth who they were, or exactly what their mission was. But as they matured, some of the recollection of their mission would come to them, or there would be spirit entities that would contact them and advise them, or there would be certain acts that were to be done, and so on. So this was quite a sacrifice of these entities.

And the message that Darius gave to our little group was on tape, and I have reviewed it from time to time, and it's always been more or less of an inspiration. So this is how the lords of Lipica, or the lords of Lipica, came into my consciousness. Darius explained that there were several migrations of these great intellects. I think there were five of about 7,000 and about seven years apart. And they are the ones that injected a higher quality and a more spiritual quality in the life stream.

And they are the ones that injected a higher quality and a more spiritual quality in the life stream of man. Another person that was very influential in bringing about the writing of this book was a very fine lady by the name of Ida Marshall. I don't know if any of you have ever known of her. Have you known of her? Wonderful lady. And of course she's dead now. But she used to paint pictures of your soul.

She was no great artist, but her pictures were quite simple. And on each picture there would be two entities. One would be the spiritual entity, and the other would be the developing soul. And then, depending on where the cross was placed in relation to the body, would determine whether your path was a heart path or the mind path. She helped many people. She did do some healing. Many scientists went to her for readings and so on.

Her readings would take, and the painting would take about three hours. And she would do the painting. And then she would sit down and write faster than any person I have ever seen write. Big, scrawling writing. And it would tell of her. It would tell of what some of the symbols and parts of the picture meant. And often there would be an explanation of why you are as you are, some of your past incarnations and so on.

And in the reading that she gave for me, and this is now at least 20 years ago, some of these things have come to pass. And as an example of the type, here is one paragraph that might interest you. It says, Weep not for the child of this era. The vibration of the very planet Earth is accelerated to the action of greater happenings. The young blood but searches maturity in the sweep of the throes. Weep not over the sins of the world.

Weeping draws energy from thee. Rejoice in the advancing day of enlightenment and sifting. Truly the day is at hand when mankind must come to its sifting. And those who seek not light shall find a way through great suffering. God's mercy gives suffering as well as peace. Then another paragraph that was influential is one about these mighty ambassadors from heaven, and I interpret them as the lords of Lypica, the sons of light. And she writes,

Ye shall see the fast and furious changes come to the unstable foundations of the world. Governments fall, principalities fail, storms crash and the roar of death everywhere. But ye shall also call to remembrance the promises of the cosmic light. As placed in thy heart, and in the hearts of the servants of his kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, ye shall indeed know the great assembly of divine ones who shall step into the new world. Ye shall be of that assembly, and ye shall be quickened to know the heavenly vision and all of the changes. Be not afraid, it is but a mighty dram of fully supervised in the hands of God's love and wisdom. Be not afraid.

So this gave me the idea of using the lords of Lypica also and the ambassadors of light. Now, there's also a message that came to her, and she passed it on one time, called, The Atom is the Seed. And I'll read a portion of it here. It says, As man discovers a substance of light, shall war be no more for man. I'm going to have a little of that water, I guess. As man discovers a substance of light, shall war be no more for man.

I'm going to have a little of that water, I guess. As man discovers a substance of light, shall war be no more for man. Then becomes light conscious, which is God consciousness in love. The sea rises to deliver new lands, and the poles yield a new promise to the science of life in plant and invisible stratus, a revival of life force in inanimate bodies of ages. There shall be a new vegetation that feeds and sustains, heals and lifts, There shall be a new vegetation that feeds and sustains, heals and lifts, a golden race of man comes to earth that glows with the solar energy of God's imaging.

This man traverses space and follows the pulse beat of cosmic action to fulfill the commandments in the imaging of God's mind, and that is love, the motivating power. A new creation comes forth as image by the Creator and a great lifting of the planet earth to a new field and strata in the universal field of action. And there shall be, And there shall be, and there shall be, and there shall be, and there shall be,

and there shall be, and there shall be, And many of her prophecies and so on have come through down the years. Now, another phase of the book has to deal with saucers. And I've been very fortunate in, I believe, seeing seven. Four in one group, two in another, and one by itself. Now, many years ago when I lived up in the Redwood country, we had a study group that met every week.

And we tried a little bit of this and a little bit of that. And we tried working the Ouija board. And for some of them, the Ouija board worked very well. We used to get poems and actual lectures and so on. And once in a while, we'd get the, we used to be a little, what she claimed to be a little pygmy on it, and come over and she would just get that. And we'd get the Ouija board and go in every which way

and cuss us out and everything else. And we'd have an awful time getting her off. But we did get some good things. So one day out at the ranch, I had a ranch about 20 miles south of Garberville, and we had some friends that came out. They'd been in a group and there was a young boy that was about 13 years old.

And so he was along. We thought, well, we'll get on the Ouija board and see what we can do. And several of us tried. And finally, we got the right combination with this young man. And an entity by the name of Oxtrel came through. And believe me, he came through strong. All you could do is to write down everything and he came over.

And in his discourse, he mentioned that, no, I asked this question. Well, if you have this power of knowing how to build these spacecraft and to use energy that's not known to us, why don't you come down and take over? Why don't you come down and take over the planet Earth? And his answer was this in so many words. In our galactic federation, we have an agreement

whereby we will not colonize a planet with a rating of NJ330 or better. I said, well, what is this rating? Is it a 9-2? He said, not as you understand it on Earth. I said, well, tell me more about this. He said, until a race of people reach a certain stage in their advancement, we may come down and assist.

But after they have reached the point where they are given complete free will, we may not interfere. Well, that kind of made sense in view of other things that I had known and learned. For instance, many, many years ago, when I was in the last two years of high school and in the first two or three years of college,

I used to go out to Glacier Park, and I worked for the hotel company and I worked for the National Park Service part of the time. But there was a lake there called St. Mary's Lake, about 11 miles long, and there was a steamer that plowed the lake on excursions at night.

And I had been going to the University of Minnesota studying geology, and we had a naturalist there that was very good in fauna and flora. And so I would go along with him, on the boat, and we'd lecture at night. And I lectured on the geology

and the formations of the park and also some of the old Indian legends. And this was the country of the Blackfoot, the Pagan Indians. And this particular legend had to do with the white god that came down from the sky and dwelt amongst them for many moons. And he taught them how to make the bow and arrow,

how to tangency, and how to plant the maize, and so on. And after he had dwelt with them many moons, he says, I must return to my father. He says, I will climb to the top of Sun Mountain

and I will leave the likeness of my face upon the mountain and will go into a cloud. And on the top of going to the Sun Mountain, about a thousand foot profile in the months of July and August, there is a profile, the most magnificent active profile

of an Indian, which is headdress, the feathers, that you can ever imagine, outlined in snow. It's fantastic. Now, you say, well, here's a legend.

What has that to do? This type of legend is prevalent throughout the North and South American Indians. Many of you have heard and have known of George Hunt Williamson. He was an archaeologist. I think he did a lot of work up in North America.

I think he did a lot of work up in North America. and Minnesota with the Indians and so on. Well, he and this young man by the name of McCoy had gone down to western Brazil and eastern Peru and Ecuador to investigate the legends of the Indians in that area about the white gods. They had come back and they were lecturing

throughout the country, and they came to Ventura up here. We attended that night, and my sister was there, and she can back me up on this if it sounds a little wild. But anyway, they came back and they had long beards.

Well, at that time, long beards were not so prevalent as today, and they apologized for their beards by saying they wanted to show the fact that they had worn beards in that country because the Indians respected men with a beard because their legend

had been that they had worn beards then of the white gods with the beards that had come and dwelt with them and had come from the sky. So he pretty well proved out these legends, even down in South America. So they lectured, and they had their slides and so on.

It was very interesting. And after the lecture, quite a few of them went out in front of the building, and I stayed back and looked at a couple or three of the books that they had there. Excuse me. And there was an old gentleman

that had bought them, and he had brought the boys up from Alcadena, I think it was. And he said casually, you know, the last three places these boys lectured, there were these lights that appeared in the sky.

And I kind of chuckled to myself because I thought, well, you know, it takes a lot of them to make a world. And so about that time, my sister hollered at me from outside, come out here and see the lights. There were about 40 people out in the front yard there.

This is at the Grillscott outbuilding there. And up in the sky about 1 o'clock was a red light, about so big. And in two or three minutes came another light back from there about, say, 2 o'clock. And it came on.

First it was, I think it was yellow. Then it turned to sort of an orange and then to a red. And for 31 minutes, these two lights did gyrations in the sky. Sometimes they stand still. Sometimes one will go around the other. Sometimes they go out and back.

And when they finally left, they didn't recede into the horizon, but they became like a star. They just continued on a steady course. Well, and then in the Ventura paper came out that they had seen the light on the TV tower. How can a TV tower be that place in the sky? This is just an example of how

they always beat down some of these stories. Another time I saw four of them as I was going into town near Garberville. And they were in diamond formation. The sun was shining on them. I could not see their exact configuration, but I could see a dark area on each side of this reflected light.

And they just sat there. And as I came to this open area there at Benbow Hotel, there were some cottonwood trees in my street. And I stopped and I sighted the four saucers and observed them for several minutes. And they didn't move one degree of arc.

And I beat it in a town and finally found a guy with a telescope on his gun. And we went out to see them because the configuration of the mountain was interfering from that point. And they had left. But they were sitting there

just like sitting ducks. And no sound, no movement. Now, this one that I'm going to tell you about, it's pretty wild. This same Oscar with whom we had had communication, this was on the 12th of July. And Harvey, this young boy,

was out with his dad to our place in the ranch. We had talked to Oxford for a while and he said, no, he must leave. And he says, we said, do you have a last-minute message for us?

And he said, yes, I have a surprise for you. He says, on July 5th, on July 5th, on July 26th, look in the sky, 25 degrees to the North Star.

I hope you'll be pleased. And we said, well, what time? He said, 925 to 945. Well, at that time, we were planning on going on a camping trip

up to Mount Lassen. We got up there one night and it was crowded and we said, well, let's go on up into Oregon. We went up to Bend, Oregon and the little lake called Elk Lake about 26 miles west of there.

And we camped there for two weeks. And we went up to Oregon for the night of the 26th. My wife and I, we went out away from the campfire and so on to look for this saucer. And they weren't on daylight saving time

and so on, so we weren't quite sure and we started looking at 825. We looked till 845 and nothing. So we thought, well, we'll look again at 925, which we did and after 10 minutes we gave up.

Oh, that, we felt kind of foolish and went back to the campfire and we're standing there facing the west. And all of a sudden here was a ball of light about this size

that traversed an arc of about so and I saw it in Holland. And my wife looked up and saw it to or to this place if you know where the line was. Anyway, there this ball of light was approximately 25 degrees elevation.

It was in the southwest quadrant of the sky. It was going in a northerly direction and it was exactly 945. Now, if you know anything about probability, you know that with that many variables, it would be millions and millions to one that it was chance.

So then I went up to my sister's and they all didn't for a couple of days and came back just north of Ben's state overnight and took the car in to be serviced and the young fellow that was servicing the car said, I just do this part-time. He says, you know, I work out at the,

I'm a control tower operator out at the airport. So I asked him, now last Thursday night, did you see anything in the sky? And he said, yeah, my partner and I were on it and we saw a fireball.

And I said, about what time? He said, oh, about 15 minutes before 10. I said, what portion of the sky was it in? He said, in the southwest. And what direction was it going north and how high above it in the sky was it? And he said, about 30 degrees. Well, then I knew it had not been

a subjective experience. So one thing led to another and over the years as I was developing the philosophy, I thought, I felt the need to write this book. Now, this book was written

about four years ago, four or five years ago. And I made a few corrections during the years, but it's been pretty much the same. The theme of the book was generally in my head, but as I would write it,

much of it just seemed to flow and I can't account for some of it. I don't say that it's inspired, and yet I have a feeling that some of it was and that the story has a continuity and some truth to it. The reason I put it in a fiction form,

a metaphysical fiction form, is that I don't want to be responsible for anyone reading it. I don't want to be responsible for anyone reading it. I don't want to be responsible for anyone reading it and say, now this is the truth, the absolute truth,

and I'm going to believe it unreservedly. I don't want to take that responsibility. And yet within me, I feel that much of it has come through without my knowledge, without my asking for it in that way. Some things have come to me

through what I call promptings of the soul. I have done this over the years when I have felt the urge that before I go to bed at night, I'd sit down and get into a meditative frame of mind and take a pencil and I would start to write.

And some of these writings, well, most of them, it felt like there was a little guy inside of me that was just kicking the daylights out of me because I was not doing what I should do, that I should be up and about, and about doing things

in the way of writing. And everything came over in these and those and those. And so sometimes I'd try to, you know, write without getting into the meditation and it just never came out that way. So some of it was kind of interesting.

I just jotted down three or four little, some paragraphs here. And if you'd like to hear what came over, some of it had something to do with the story. In this case, it says, The time is at hand to make peace within thy deific self,

as in the days of Noah, prepare thyself a haven from the fleecy chaos of man's folly. The heavens will loosen themselves upon the struggling earth. The crossroads are at hand. Put thy feet firmly upon the path and direct them to heaven

towards thy God, who is ever awaiting thee without straight arms. The heavens around you abound with the ambassadors of light, ready to gather the souls of men into further ongoings.

Meet out your strength and wisdom into those who will hear with discernment. Wisdom of the heavens is descending upon those who will hear. Point thy every effort to plumb the well of wisdom.

Look into thy temple for understanding and guidance. Place before the altar the fruits of thy endeavors. Direct thy efforts of fathoming the truth for men to live by. Give to them truth

such as will meet with their own the reason and treat them to sound judgment. This paragraph had to do with the ambassadors of light again and that's why I included it.

New adventures, new lands, new friends. Seek ye out those who are in accord. Be in rapport with those who are the bearers of light. Seek ye the ambassadors

from out the cosmic realms. They will guide thee in thy path to enlightenment. Many are the ambassadors now come to guide the race of man into the light. There are pathways of light

lest man shall fall in a pit of destruction. Be thou aware of these beings who are ever watchful of thy purpose. Open thy consciousness to their messages. Listen intently

for their instructions. Ask that thee shall be aware of thy cosmic contact during the hours of sleep. Pray thou will be cognizant of thy nightly experiences and so on. Well, I think I have to,

you know, I get carried away on some of this. But there again, how do we know? I don't know how much of this is not from just within myself. This is hard to know.

In Urantia, they tell us of the indwellers, the God fragment that comes to every living soul in the beginning of life. The beginning of his journey on this earth. And that this indweller

is there to guide us in our spiritual pursuit. And I like to think of the soul as the developing ego of man and the indweller being the prompting of this soul. And I feel sometimes that maybe this is where

the source has been. Now this book, I'll go through it rather hurriedly because there's quite a little here. But it begins with the meeting of the United Nations and the Secretary General

who is a Swedish fellow by the name of Erich Sunderland and who is well respected by all nationalities, all countries that were included in the General Assembly. And he's about ready to open the meeting.

He raises his gavel and there in front of the entire assembly appears a scintillating light. And this light finally forms into an oval shape and a form emerges. And this is the man

that I have called Darius. And Darius has come to the assembly to tell them of the plan, of Russia and China. They have submarines around all of our ports,

including Hawaii. And at a given signal, they're going to surface and load their atomic warheads into our cities. The Lords of Lipika have come to present this. And they say that

man has finally come to the point where there is so much insidious evil in the world that he is incapable of surmounting it. That he has journeyed on this planet

sufficiently where the sifting should be done. And the end-dweller will activate and take control of the body. And anybody that, uh, is, uh,

has murder in their heart or has committed murder in a premeditated fashion, there will be the sign of the beast which will appear on their forehead, which is an oval, blood-protruded, uh, raising with a jagged

lightning streaked through it. And they would then be rendered as zombies and would be gathered and taken off of the planet Earth. By the space people. And removed to a planet called

Therapeia where they would be given, uh, therapy. And if they responded, they later would rejoin the human life stream. Um, Darius tells, uh, the assembly of,

of some of the history, past history of Earth. And I might just read, uh, a little here. He says, there have been many recalcitrant souls in your midst who have served as worthy adversaries to supply you with the adversity which is necessary to your

spiritual progress. Those with malice and evil in their hearts many times were responsible for the near extermination of humanity. Always there were those who survived and assured the continuity of human life on your planet. We were ever watchful

and made certain that life would continue to manifest in progress. Man has experienced so-called death many times only to be reborn into new life experiences. Between his many sojourns on Earth he rested in the higher realms and consolidated his gains.

No life has ever lived without some gainful experience. It is to be remembered that the beastly side of man's nature has ever been in conflict with his spiritual attributes. The mighty sons of God who arrived from a far distant sun system cohabitated with the

higher animal forms. This event in the far distant past is mentioned in your holy book as the era of sodomy. This travesty against divine fiat got out of hand and produced many gross and brutish animal forms. It was only through the mighty

sacrifice and effort of our order, the Lords of Lipica, known to you as the sons of light through your holy writ that this practice of abomination was stopped. You as man have been fighting this animal nature ever since. Many of you have been able to overcome

the beast within you and have made mighty progress towards perfection. So this goes on and he tells the world that they have a hundred and twenty days to

remove all armies from foreign soil and to and also that there will be a ten year period for those that do not have the appearance of the sign of the beast have this ten years

to put their house in order. And this is to be in preparation of the golden age. And in this preparation for the golden age there has to be a reconstruction of the entire concept of the

social structure, the financial structure of the earth, of the planet and a new order brought into being. So in the meantime, Russia

still plans to carry out her world conquest. Up to that time it had been thought that China and Russia were in opposite camps.

But in reality they wanted it to look this way and they really were going to enter into this world domination venture together. But Kozlov, who is the premier of Russia was planning to double cross China.

So the Lords of Lithuania when they appeared to the United Nations, this was through the communication channels, the TV and so on, they were observed by most all peoples

on earth. So the entire populace knew what was happening. So when they finally charged their weapons, these

fighter ships from the Arivania, which was the great spaceship that had brought the armada to the earth, would be certain ships that fly into the atomic cloud and dissipate

any of the nuclear radiation. And at that time then all of the Russians soldiers or people that had taken part in this, the sign of the beast appeared and they then

later were taken off of the planet. Now this ship the Arivania was a ship that could sustain itself for years at a time in space. It was

10 miles in diameter and 3 miles in thickness. And it had everything that was necessary to sustain life. The ship was powered by what they call

hydroponic power in which the nucleus of each atom had the force of seven suns. There was a tube that extended through the ship called the Herculaneum column

which was composed of many thousands of tubes with opposite polarity of each end. And this grew the universal energy into this column

and produced the power. Now in getting ready for the coming age, there was much scientific development. The Lords of Lipica

helped to bring about new ideas. One scientist one day was shading and he saw a vision of the atom with the electrons revolving around the nucleus

and he saw that the electrons began to slow up and they receded into the nucleus and as they sank into the nucleus there was a spurt of energy. He was so excited and rushed in and wrote down

what he had seen and came back to fix the cut and when he returned to see what he had written down he noticed that there was something there that he had not remembered writing and it said that

the laser beam should be impinged upon a crinium crystal which he knew of no such mineral in earth and that this would then collapse the

force field of the atom. Later this was verified by one of the Lords of Lipica and the crinium crystal would be furnished by them and this would cause a shrinking or a collapse

or a vacuum within anything at which this beam was directed. This then became the source of power. This became the method by which we could then build these giant ships and be

powered in our atmosphere. There were many different approaches to the way of life in the financial structure. There was a proposed that all

all boys and all young people when they reached the age of 18 would be given a stipulated amount of money which they could then use to further their education or to start a business

however they wanted to use it but each one received the same amount. Now whenever anyone would die their estate would go back to the government and everybody paid a 10% on their earnings

there was no restriction into how much money you could make but whatever you accumulated had to go back to the government on your debt. Transportation was furnished free throughout the world

for commodities and for human transportation which is paid by the government so that any commodity wherever it was made could sell at the same price anywhere throughout the world. While there are

quite a few of these innovations in the financial structure I got this idea from a man back in Iowa when I was a young man and he called this new idea Christocratic Government and it was so

designed that it was impossible to steal money and that everybody had to do a certain amount of work and then they were guaranteed a basic amount and anybody that reached a certain age they were guaranteed

an amount which kept their dignity as old people and gave dignity to old age and so on. It was quite an ingenious method and I remember at the time that he offered $100 to anybody that could prove

that it was unconstitutional or if it was not feasible and nobody ever collected the $100 and of course it didn't take. Now another requirement of entering the Golden Age

was for there to be some some adjustment and some direction in religious thinking. So during this time a great

meeting was called of all religious leaders well there were 80,000 religious leaders from all over the world that assembled in the Houston Dome and was there

and also there was a hierarchy the council of twelve that were there for this great conclave this great clearing of religious concepts and

if I can find that I might read a little bit of that okay. This is when the meeting was about to begin. No one was aware that the pulsating light had become steady.

There was this pulsating light that began to fill the dome. The suspense was so great that no tranquilizing agent was needed to calm the crowd. Gradually almost indiscerniblely the pulsating rhythm began again. Each pulse seemed to be a little more intense

than the preceding one. The rhythm was accelerating and the light became pressing. What was happening? Some began to get a little frightened. The intensity had increased to almost a steady light. There was a blinding flash accompanied by a thunderous clap which brought everyone to their feet.

When their vision cleared, the expectant delegates beheld thirteen figures occupying the thirteen chairs. Each was surrounded by a scintillating white light that was interspersed with darting colors of the spectrum. The figure in the center rose, stepped to the rostrum

and slowly raised his arms. He stood up until the rostrum had made a complete motion and then slowly he began to speak. I, Darius, High Representative of the Lord of Lipica, greet you in love and with the blessings of the Ancient of Days to whom my goodly company

pays homage. Before I continue my address to this great assembly of spiritual leaders throughout this evil wracked planet, I wish to introduce my companions who have come with me this day to share in the glory of the moment. They are the members of the High Tribunal of which

I am honored to be a representative. This august body is representative of the twelve sectors of our galaxy known to us as Calderia and presides over an assembly of twelve hundred representatives. This assembly in turn is representative of twelve

hundred regions throughout the galaxy. All are members of the Calderian Galactic Federation. To my most high tribunal I bestow my love and blessings this day. Thou art of my heart and of my nature in whom I am well pleased. To the

spiritual leaders of planet earth I preach you to listen well and to take heed. Today the key to the immortality will be given to you. Accept it and use it rightly. Rest in peace. And this was the message given by the Ancient of Days.

And it goes into quite a lengthy description of the new concept of worship. I had a very good friend in Garberville whose name was Max McNeil

and we used to go down to his house and his wife and he used to conduct little group meetings and so on. Now Max was not an intellectual. He was just an average person.

He was a lumberjack and also a log and truck driver and operator. But once in a while something would come to him and he'd have to jot it down. It was compelling. So this is what came over

to him one day. And although I don't completely understand it, I think it's something that makes you think about creation. Now it's just one paragraph, a long paragraph. I'll read it. It says, In the beginning

the first cause desired companionship and brought forth myriads of particles which contained the attributes of him who created them. These particles of the first cause received the gift

of omniscience vicariously and in time realized that it must experience that which it already knew. Now in order to prove oneself or to attempt to reach the source of existence, it is necessary

to accept the possibility of thought force which was the spark that ignited the spirit of being or the cause of the effect. The cause being the spark of thought and effect being the completed

cycle of thought or the whole of spirit being. As the thought force came forth it set in motion a vibration or pulsation that coagulated into spirit. Hence

spirit coming from thought had within at that moment all that was thought in the beginning or all the knowledge that was. But with the exception of one thing and that was its not having the reason for thought in the beginning, it

or the spirit being was non-existent. Being a part of thought that is being a derivative from thought, it had its own individuality or free will. By having free will or spirit mind

or a mind within a spirit it had a realization of being but did not have the complete knowledge of being or the reason thereof. Having mind it had desire and also coming from thought in the beginning it had inherited

thought or imagination. Possessing this knowledge it could be the amount of what it imagined but as it imagined it could only be the whole of its imagination and could not retain other than self as of that moment. As spirit

existed in the beginning it could not be lost. Hence the inner self. The inner self would be the existing governor or the protector to equalize the desire of free will. So no matter in what direction the

soul chose it still contained within itself spirit force or the voice conscience the inner self. Now this young man he was a man of about 35 at that time could not have

written that himself. It's pretty deep. I don't completely understand it and yet I think I understand the gist of it but for that to come through him was quite remarkable and it was something that just

forced itself through him. There were other things of such nature that came too and I interjected this in the speech of Darius. Then there's part of the book tells about the organization

of the social organizations throughout the world. I have a group here called the VATs which are the brotherly assistance program where something like our present program of the young

people and people going out and working with undeveloped countries and so on. But this was a program that was very extensive throughout the whole world getting the people knowledge of all and to a

point where they could help themselves and bring themselves up to a standard of living and a realization of worth, self-worth to where they could enter the golden age without any trouble.

The in the political setup of the new preparation for the golden age, there was some dignity put into politics. Politics ceased to be

a place for ego development or a place for one to make a fortune at the expense of the It was an honor to be

in a governing body and this was brought about by the urging of the indweller and the indweller had a way of convincing you because if you

refused or worked against the desires of the indweller, pretty soon you began to have this illness and that illness and if you went to strike somebody in a

severe way, your arm was stopped it was a case of there's been enough of this insidious wickedness that the god particle within straightens you out

and that's all there was to it. You either shaped up or you shipped out. And then there was a revolution in the concept of medicine. The doctors were

encouraged and they were encouraged to go on certain terms that they should prepare themselves to become more as counselors and psychiatrists

and to cure people through the mental path of right thinking and so on and that if people change their thinking and their thoughts,

they can move forward and so on and so forth. As the ten year period was coming to a close, it was evident that Lucifer would make another last-ditch try

to keep control of the earth. And those of you that have studied Urantia at all will remember that Lucifer fell from the top of the

hierarchy thinking that he should be his own boss, that he should not take any instruction or any commands from anybody higher up

and there you had the fall of Lucifer. And he carried with him many of the spiritual entities and brought about a rather serious condition for earth, for man.

So they figured

that he would make one last ditch try to prevent this, the entering of the new age and the return of Christ Michael. And so there was this battle of Armageddon

and it was not a battle of man against man, it was a battle against Lucifer and the forces of evil against the forces of good. Now, this battle was

a battle between the spaceship, the giant Air Vanya which Oswald controlled and commanded was supposedly the only ship that was here to

protect earth and unbeknownst to Lucifer's forces was the Cassiopeia which was the sister ship of the Air Vanya was brought to the earth

area and the battle of the evil against the good was finally overcome by the forces of good and so on. And then Lucifer

was contained, was captured, and the adjudication of Lucifer by the high tribunal. And again Christ Michael

interceded for him and asked for mercy. The Ancient of Days had decreed that Lucifer should be contained and removed to a planet for

confinement. And so they finally agreed to give him another thousand years on this planet where he was contained to give him one more chance to repent and to change his ways.

And the heralding of the golden age was at hand and there were the great ships from the galaxy that came to usher in the golden age and to be

a part of the great event. The last part is the short section here I might read some of this.

Heralding the golden age, for several nights the inhabitants of earth had seen strange lights in the skies. At first the people thought that the stars were moving, but only discovered as they came closer to earth that they were trapped from the other worlds that were approaching. As they moved in

it could be determined that most of them were of immense size. Each light would finally stabilize its position and then orbit with the turning of the planet. It was reported that everyone on earth could see one of these ships in the heavens. There could be no doubt that these craft were the forerunner

of the coming of Christ Michael and his host. People would watch by the hour at these beautiful lights. When the craft were first observed the people began preparing for the great event. No one wanted to be caught, not prepared, and no one wanted

to be bothered with a lot of food preparation during the event. Everyone wanted to be in readiness. You can imagine the relief of these still on earth to realize that they were to be included in this new era of life. The last of the Therapeian patients had been removed from the earth ten days

before. If you still were on good old terra firma you were in. It was three thousand six hundred and fifty-seventh day after the coming of the lords of Lipica that it came. From far out in the heavens a golden light shone down upon the earth, dark side as well as the light

side. A hush descended over the planet. Even the animals stopped their scurrying and hunting to look into the sky. A spell as it were had been cast upon this minute speck in the cosmos. The elements took refuge into the stillness of the moment

as the wind stopped to listen to the music of the spheres. Oh what peace flooded the consciousness of man, woman, and child. At a given signal the heavens belched forth and streamers of colored rays rained forth from them the giant ships stationed

in the atmosphere, for they had moved in quietly before the moment. It could be likened to the northern lights proclaiming in all their glory to the high heavens. Beautiful curtains and colored lights draped the sky in an unshackled design of profusion. The sight

was almost fearful in its grandeur and majesty. The singing seemed to come from the sunlight craft hovering in the firmament. Literally the music was not of this earth. It had tonal qualities only heard by the mystics. Thousands of voices were

in the choir of the universe. It was indeed heavenly music. Then was heard a blurring of trumpets announcing a turn of events. Their clarion calls sent chills to every cell and fiber of the body. People caught their breaths in anticipation. Then

came the voice, a boom of forth impinging upon the center of beings. Each one's indweller interpreted all speech to its host. Language was no barrier. Children of earth, I am. There was a slight pause.

I am the alpha and the omega. I am he who brought forth. I am the beginning and the end. Without exception, all instinctively knelt in homage to this one. Arise, my children, hold up thy heads. Look to me in the heavens. From this

moment thou art of my flock. Thou art destined to assist me in my creations. Thou art all precious in my sight. And I am well pleased. I entrust thee to the keeping of my beloved son, Christ Michael, your elder brother. It is done.

The voice trailed off into infinity. The silence was likened to a void in the firmament. It was broken by a deluge of hallelujahs from the heavenly host for several minutes. It was magnificent and necessary to bring people out of their hypnotic

reveries. And so on. And then the epilogue which is LOL plus 50 years. During the 40 years which had elapsed since the coming of Christ Michael, fantastic growth had been experienced

by the residents of planet Earth and the citizens of the galaxy. Scientific progress had mushroomed at a fantastic pace. Earth-built spaceships now plied the roadways of space carrying precious cargo and passengers to exotic planets.

Technological advancement had completely taken the drudgery out of work. The disadvantaged people of Earth had disappeared. The races had become one of hue. And peace ran rampant throughout the nations of this once torn blight on the cosmos.

The number of citizens translating into the greater light were increasing. Spiritual progress was a joy to the Father and he rewarded his children accordingly. By now all were of one mind. In the contemplation of the Father the universe had become

a spiritual frontier. Quite a number of Earthlings who had been taken to Therapeia for treatment had rejoined the human race and were doing well. Some had been transported directly from Therapeia and others who had died on Therapeia had

recently been born into the new age to begin anew. The indwellers of everyone had gradually opened up communications to the extent whereby during meditation a dialogue had been established. No one was ever in doubt as to the right or wrong of an act or thought.

Few were brought to task for going against their innermost companion. The close relationship was a joy to both. If an altercation arose whereby there was strong feeling expressed Christ Michael's presence was felt at times seen

and the difficulty melted away. This indeed was Heaven on Earth. So it's a little while and you've got a good imagination. Maybe you can imagine that some of this might take place. So I'll stop for now

and I guess there'll be questions later. Just raise your hand. Yes. The person that Jesus is about as Christ Michael is that the man that we know of

as Saint Michael? No, Christ Michael in that respect is the man Jesus. Isn't that right Scott in Urantia? Yes. He's the man Jesus. Right.

Right. Yes. In the book Urantia he's referred our man Jesus is referred as Christ Michael. And incidentally the last third of this book Urantia

which is over 2000 pages is of the life of Christ and it tells of some of the missing places that our Bible doesn't tell and it's the most beautiful account of Christ's life

and it conforms in many respects in many respects to the Bible history, right? I remember they used to have one here but I don't know whether they have one or not. We have an article in Urantia. We were hoping it would be here

and it should have been somewhere else these days, you know. That book is a journey into life and the future into the cosmos. It's the most magnificent book. We should have it

very next I would in fact it's what I would like to believe in total. But there are a couple of hangups like in everything else that I have to adjust to and so those

those hangups I'll put up on a shelf and maybe I'll take them down later. Did you have a question? That was, now let me think I think it was 58 57 or 58

that's going back a lot of ways so I might be it's either one of those years. And speaking of balls of fire I used to get about balls of fire one time a young fellow and I had plates from Whitefish, Montana

to Minneapolis and we were in Haber, Montana Incidentally, that's about the coldest place in the whole country, but anyway we were about five box cars behind the engine. The engine was facing east the wind was coming from the south

which meant to our right like we were the engine was five box cars up ahead and there was a hobo jungle right to the north which would be on the left Hobo Jungle old shacks and uh uh bus we were sitting on top of this boxcar and all of a sudden here was a ball of fire about this big and you could see the turbulence of the fire within the ball of fire

and we first noticed it when it was about eight or ten feet above one of these shacks and it went across the engine now remember and the smoke was blowing from the south to the north and it went directly against the wind on a 15 degree angle and held its course until it became like a star we pinched each other and i saw it did you see it yeah i thought are you drunk no i'm sober are you asleep no i'm awake and to this day i don't know what it was but i used to tell that story and and the place where i was teaching for a while they called me balls of fire there were several sightings up there that were real good sightings uh-huh well you're fortunate to see one

uh do you remember of uh yeah some of them see that the green some are uh some of them well yeah and also you have the feeling with yourself that it was what it was and you know i think it was 57. now um there's an anything interesting thing about uh you know people believe in flying saucers that have never seen them and when you believe in something that you haven't seen there is a name for that in your answer and that's called a gondon gondoteers is it not isn't that what a gondoteer means oh agon donters i got the emphasis on the wrong syllable but

so uh but that is a person that believes without seeing and uh that's right and the children today right and children today this is not for hard for them to believe they are already thinking of making these trips and the new generation is all ready for it when it comes absolutely absolutely absolutely

ah how many of you remember kenneth arnold uh uh had you you've heard of kenneth arnold well i um and he had been out to some friends of mine that lived on this mountaintop and raised chickens and trying to sell them a fire extinguisher and in the course of their talking why he told about an article in Faith magazine that he had written telling about his sighting these nine ships up around Mount Rainier back in 47 so this young couple told me about meeting Kenneth Arnold and then they showed me one of these Faith magazines and in it it had the book Owaspe and see that sounds interesting I'm going to send and get that book which I did and boy it was a tough one to start out on this metaphysical take believe me I studied that for three months until I

got there is a river I didn't get my feet back on the ground but then later I met Kenneth Arnold they had a fly-in of breakfast for a new airport at Garberville this is where I lived and so they had a banquet and I sat next to him to the banquet and got to talking to him and so he came over that night then and the following afternoon we got our bunch together and we had a good session with Kenneth Arnold and since he had seen this flying saucers it had changed his life considerably and he became interested in many psychic things in fact he used to go around the country whenever there was a strange phenomena

or strange happening an example was back in Iowa they had this rocking chair and you talked to the rocking chair and it was rock so he went back there and took pictures of it investigated it and he told of over 40 tape recordings he had of interviews with people that had seen the little people and there were little people from 40 inches on down to 8 inches high this doesn't happen only in Ireland you know you see the little people but he was so interesting to talk to and after having known him for a little while you knew that he wasn't making up a story about those nine ships over the mirror and he had some

fascinating stories I don't know how I got off on that one that the other question is you're talking about the battle of Armageddon I've read a number of different things that people what about what the Bible calls the king of the North king of the south king of the east you know you read a lot there's been a lot written lately about the prophecy about this great battle of Armageddon and speaks of the north of the bear which is Russia. It speaks of China. And the consensus out of all this that I get is that there will be a meeting of the North with the Chinese from the East, in the Near East,

in the Palestine area, and there is where this great battle will be fought. And there will be the ten nations, which are, they figure, the nations of the common market. The United States isn't directly named in these prophecies, but they feel that it would be included in the ten nations, and there would be this great battle. There is a new, a recent book out now, where this man thinks he knows. He knows who the Antichrist is. And he thinks it is the, Cleto, what's the fellow's name? He's the successor of the Franco in Spain. Don Juan Carlos.

Carlos? Don Juan Carlos. Don Juan Carlos. And it's quite an interesting account, and this is who he thinks is going to be the Antichrist. And that this isn't too far off, he figures. So. There's a lot of this, of this fear of the coming of the end, and of Armageddon, and of the return of Christ. There's just lots of literature on that. Now, of course, you can say, well, we've had that in every generation. I remember when I was just a young lad, and

I think it was 1917, and that was, I believe, the year they had five or six, I don't know, the sixth comment in the air in early December. And the country was all excited about this, and there were those that thought about, this is the end, you know. And I remember my dad, there was this little church in this little town in Iowa, and the night that the world was supposed to have come to an end, all these people got in the church, and they were really getting ready for it. And they, some had buried the money, and some had done this and that. And I remember my dad saying, I wish I had a bunch of Roman candles, and shoot off around that church, and they sure would think they were going . So, it seems like in every

generation that the world is coming to an end. And they say, well, people have never gone to and fro, and that's like they have now, and that's true. And then they tell about our youth, and all this, and I remember this. Oh good. And they made the account, it said that the youth of the world were disrespectful they were strong-willed and just described our youth as of today, and it was written by Socrates. So I don't know if things are too different, and and I'm not going to hold my breath to for it to come to an end, and yet it might.

Um. Bakumh estava It Hal stretching No, I've gotten very lazy and lax, and I have not had anybody that was any good on the Ouija board lately, and I'm not much good on it myself, but if somebody else is good, I can work it with them. But this oxo, incidentally, after that ball of fire we saw up in Oregon, then a few days later when we got back to Garberville, we got together, and we asked oxo what this was, and he said it was a scout ship.

And I remember one time I asked him, he misspelled a word, and I said something about it. He said, would you like to learn my language? He said, we have 44 letters in our alphabet. So, you know that. I think it's a far-fetched, because we have ITA, and our school is going to have 44 symbols, and our little first graders, they learn to read by these symbols, then once they learn to read, they have to unlearn it so they can learn to read by our symbols. But it works.

So, there's a sound, a symbol for every sound, and this is the way he explained it, too. I would like to get in touch with him. I think he gave up on me. But, uh, there is... There is another, uh, uh, Clyde and Helen Turpanier, some people know, I know that you folks know them. They're now up in, um, near Seattle. But, I met Clyde and Helen, and I got to talking about oxo. Well, we have an oxo that comes to us, but he spelled his name just a little bit different.

But sometimes I wonder if they're not the same. And they hadn't met. And they had many, many long, uh, communications with oxo. Did the communications come through the, uh, Ouija board? That was my communication with oxo. Uh, but with Frank Hughes, he was a trance medium and would go into trance, and we would talk to various entities. I might tell you of an experience that I had.

You then will know I am a crackpot. But, um, uh, there was a, uh, an entity when, uh, he called him, he called himself Astro that came through Frank Hughes. Uh, his main, uh, his main monitor, you might say, was named, we called him RW for Red Wing. And he generally assumed the incarnation of an Indian when he communicated with Frank. So, this Astro would give us meditation, to meditate on, I mean subject for a meditation. So he had given me the subject of projecting my consciousness into the daisies.

And, uh, I worked at it for six weeks. Uh, every night. And, uh, you, you, you feel the daisy in your consciousness. You examine the petals in your mind's eye and, and, uh, the spiral, the swirls and everything. You, you really knew that daisy. And I thought I'd never, I would never get into it. But one night I got into it.

And, uh, here's what I saw. It was a seed. Like a clamshell. And the seed started to open and out of it came a mist. Kind of a bluish mist and it turned to a white mist. And the seed opened wide. And when the mist cleared away, there was Gautama Buddha sitting there just as real as you're sitting in front of me. And I rebelled because my bringing up had been Christian.

And as soon as this psychological reaction occurred within me, the Buddha disappeared and there sat Christ just as real as I'm looking through. So I, uh, I wondered what that lesson was. Well, anyway, about two days later, I get a letter from Frank Hughes. And he's in San Francisco and I'm in Garberville, 200 miles away. And he says, Astra came through last night and said, now that you had gotten into the heart of the daisy, he would change my medication. That's 200 miles away. No communication.

So that was a pretty good evidential. And, uh, he was an Englishman that, uh, came to this country. Oh, I guess it probably was, uh, 18 years ago. And he was in New York a while. Then he came to San Francisco and he started a, a group there. And, uh, then later there was a, um, quite a wealthy man from the East that had known Frank back there. And, and brought Frank back to New York. Where he, uh, kept him for two years, uh, to receive messages for himself.

And then Frank came back and he came back to Santa Barbara. And, yes. And where I had known him in San Francisco, he used to come up to my ranch and, and spend weekends with us at times. And then when, uh, in the meantime I had left there and I moved down to Oxnard. And then, uh, he never wrote any books, no. And, uh, uh, so then when he was in Santa Barbara for two years before he died, we had a session every, about every week. And, uh, some terrific, uh, messages would come. A whole, uh, hour, uh, of lectures on things.

And, uh, very interesting. We had one, we had one, um, message one time from, uh, well, we had asked about Atlantis. And Red Wing said, I will see what I can do if I can find somebody. And the next time we get together, I will bring him to you if I can find someone of that great length of time. Uh, and he did. And, uh, the, uh, the voice came over very slow and laborious. And it was rather difficult to, uh, to understand because of the long pauses.

And Frank, uh. And Frank, uh, his breathing was so difficult. But it was a very interesting, um, uh, transmission. In fact, I have a tape of it. Maybe sometime I can get it to you here, to here. But this, uh, Atlantean was telling of the insidious evil that was at that time. And, uh, where, uh, men's minds would be controlled by other men through, uh, psychic means and mental gymnastics and so on.

And then he told of, uh, that they were told that they must go to this one seat of point of power where their forefathers had gone many times. And, uh, he told of this great, uh, light being that had been with their forefathers time and again. And he said on the way many were lost. But those that reached this point, this, this point of power, that the right one was there. And, uh, there was no question in the way he put it

that it must have been Jesus that had come at various times down through the years, through the ages. And, uh, they were told to take to boat and leave the, the land the best they could. And many departed and many were lost on the way. But they reached various places in, uh, in, in, uh, the continents bordering on Atlantis. And, uh, then the very last of the transmission, and he said this, uh,

evil, although it sank, it's still sinking. It's still sinking. In other words, it's still with us. But it, it, it was a powerful, a powerful thing. And, uh, I'll try to get it to you sometime later. It, it's worth listening to. Sure.

How did you get on that? Any other questions? Yes? Where do you get books from? Well, let's see. I'm not a very good fortune teller, but, uh, we had just put out a book on education, uh, that my wife and I, we, we got a, uh, a, uh, a, um,

A.B. Dick mimeograph. And, and, uh, my wife typed the stencils. And the graphs that I had in there, we had electrically typed, uh, or stencils made. And, uh, we ground them out and put the first book out last Thursday. And, uh, and now that we have that out of the way, then I'm gonna start producing, uh, Retrieve from Chaos.

But this book is, is for, uh, for educators. It's a, it's a book which, uh, uh, enables, uh, a teacher to, to find out whether she's doing a good job or not. Uh, to whether they, she's bringing her students up to potential. And also we can tell by this, uh, method whether a group, a class is reaching its potential. Or whether a school or a district. California came out with a law a few years ago

which said that, um, educators, teachers must be evaluated in relation to pupil progress. Which is an objective evaluation and not a subjective evaluation. And this, this graph, this curve, uh, what it does, it takes the, the IQ of a child or a group. It's one axis. It takes the IQ of the graph. And the other axis is the percentile achievement

from an, from an achievement test, standardized test. And you plot these coordinates. And if they don't fall within a band, what we call the acceptable band, then they're not working up to potential. And it advocates children being graded or children being evaluated to themselves and nobody else. In other words, they compete with themselves.

They compete with anybody else. Now, the last few years that I was principal in my school, we gave no grades. We gave no grades. Grades are an unfair thing. And what this does, this says a certain child or a certain class has missed its mark by so many percentile points.

A deviation from where they should be. So it's an endeavor to bring each child up to where it should be. And this is the, so we got our fingers crossed on that one. Yes? Larry, in this new book of yours, do you see where the child will be motivated to excel, in other words, reach the goals that he himself set? Well, there is, there has been in the last few years

some, some classes where they have the child set its own goal and then try to work up to this. But, but what this does, it doesn't attach any stigma to any child by getting a D or an E or an F because a child on the, well, let's see, I can just quickly show you here. Here's a, for instance, here's this curve.

Now, down here that means that this, this, this class, this is a class, an average of a class of children, only achieved at the tenth percentile. It means that 90% of all the other kids did better than they did. So if you reported, say, to the school board that teacher so-and-so had a class that achieved at the tenth percentile, they say, let's fire. Yet, this would be very unfair

because this teacher did better than this teacher in this class who achieved at the sixty-fifth percentile. This teacher is this far below where she should be. This teacher was practically on the line and she was within the band of acceptability. So it's a fair shake for the teacher because she's never judged unless the quality of her students are taken into consideration.

These poor, these poor kids that averaged, that had an average IQ of only 83 did better with what they had done to do with than this class with an IQ of 118. They did much better in reaching their potential. And after all, that's all we're concerned with. Can we bring a child up

to where it performs to its potential? And also, instead of thinking in terms of IQ, I have coined the term PQ, which is performance quotient. And this graph here tells you how if you know the child's IQ and if you know the achievement level of that child, you can project it over to this solid line

down to the IQ axis and you'll know at what IQ level that child performed at that moment in time. And if it's less than what its tested IQ is, then it has a deviation of so many IQ points. And we should raise it up. Yes, absolutely not. A group IQ test is very uncertain.

And in my district, we gave IQ tests to every child, every grade from first grade through to seventh. So we had a series of IQs. Yes, once a year. In other words, every grade level, first through seventh,

had an IQ test at the beginning of the year. So, of course, in their Q folders, all these records are there. So you look up in the Q folder, and if you have, say, four or five IQ tests given, you pick out the highest one. Because theoretically,

you cannot achieve more than what you got to do with. So the highest grade should be the most valuable IQ. Right. Exactly. That's why it takes... You're pretty safe

if you've got four or five different tests. And you can either take an average of them, or you can use the philosophy that the highest IQs are most accurate. Because you can't really go above yourself. In other words, there's no... Theoretically,

there's no such a thing as an overachiever. You can't achieve beyond your capability. So IQs are very tricky. IQs on children that are... In families that are underprivileged, where there's no discussion about things over the dinner table, or there aren't books around for the child to read,

or there isn't the right kind of encouragement, they can be all 15 points. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. Well, share the right to be. They're tricky, and you've got to know what you're doing.

And really, the only... The fairest way is to give them an individual test, where they sit face-to-face with the examiner, and they take that test. And that's pretty good. But we have to have some measure

from which to make some kind of a deduction. This advocates this type of thing to find the problem areas in a class or with a child, and then try to cure them. So I hope that... This will be received... It was received in my district.

Over 250 teachers bought it because... I mean, bought the idea because they knew then they were getting a fair shake. I have four graphs in there, and it shows a teacher that averages 35 percentile points

below where she should be. And her class was a good class, 105 IQ. And in every category, arithmetic, study skills, language, and reading,

she was that far out in the boondocks all by herself. And when this was brought to the attention of the superintendent, he blew his stack. And he said, now give me a longitudinal study on this teacher.

And we found this distinct pattern had been going on for years. We also found that she'd been coming to school with liquor on her breath. And so she wasn't with us after about two years. But in this case, this wasn't a square shake

for the kids. And this is one tough thing about... You know, say you have a fifth grader, and you've had tests on him for four years, and you take a percentile. That's most accurate

because it's like a rung of a ladder. He's at this rung, and he does a little better. He's at this rung, and so on. So you get a pretty good picture over several. And this is good.

Yup. Right. It's not easy. Mostly because you get into the high school, the teachers are more independent, and they don't want to be bothered. And they don't get quite as much concern

whether the kid learns anything or not anyway because the kid's attitude's pretty bad, too, there. You get your best teaching and your best feel down in the grade. That's where your teachers are. Believe me.

I'm biased. You know what I did, Lee? In the paper, it came out, 600 or 400 and some schools in Los Angeles that gave the sixth graders math and reading, percentile achievement,

and their classes and their IQ. I plotted it on this graph, and almost everywhere, I took two schools, two classes, two schools, for each IQ level

from 80 IQ to 111. And I plotted them on this graph, and they fell in there just beautifully. And yet, in the paper, it came out that the L.A. schools had done so poorly. Their average was such and such

and such and such. But they had done a good job with what they had to do with. Because so many times, they report these grades to the public, and it isn't fair. It isn't a fair analysis,

because it doesn't say what the level of the group was. So, any more? Anybody want to take an eye, teacher? Now, thanks for your attention. Okay, that's a good word. I'm glad I'm retired.

I don't have to fight with the teachers or the teachers anymore. Thank you, Larry. I know many teachers today are really having many problems. I feel for a lot of them. Okay, well, we've surely enjoyed

your resume of the books, and we'd surely like to have you come back and give us something more on your new book when you bring it out. Thank you. And so, we will be, some of us will be going over
