And again, the people who are in tune, who refuse to have their minds filled with the garbage that's going over the airwaves today, will be in a position to be choosy. You won't have to spin the dial on your set all night long, hoping and praying that a decent program will come on. And that'll be certainly something that we'll look forward to. All right. Religious leaders, including the Pope of Rome, have requested further information on UFOs and space people. The next time that we're in Europe, we're going to be invited to come to Rome to speak to the Pope concerning Valiant Thor. The reason for this is quite apparent. Organized religion today is just very, very fearful, just like many politicians. That if a man should come from another religion...

...in the world, people might find out... ...I don't want to offend anybody here today, but if you have any argument, you can take it up with me at the book table a little later. But I maintain this, and I've seen this throughout the world, that people are beginning to find out that they do not have to pray to a piece of wood. They don't have to pray to a candle. They don't have to pray to any graven image. But they can come. That's the source of power which is within them, which in turn is in tune with the power from beyond. And they can and will receive an answer to their prayers.

All of religion today is quite a mess. The church's one cracking foundation has many flaws. I'll tell you this again. When people are beginning to see the truth, are beginning to see the light, and are beginning to follow after that, they believe it will do them good because it is good, and it will. Folks don't have to go to church because they've got to, but because they want to. And that makes every difference to the world. As far as the money situation in the United States is concerned, the prediction is, according to my friend, that the money situation will be loosened

immediately following April 15th of 1970. Women's fashions, this was an interesting note, are the same the world over. We've got the most beautiful women in the world. You see? world right here at Giant Rock. Now I wouldn't say that. Notice the men are clapping. But in Paris it was very interesting. A rather embarrassing situation took place, which I'm quite an expert in getting into situations. You know, anybody here ever been to Paris? They must have a million sidewalk cafes. They've got all these little cute tables and chairs

on the outside of the restaurants, on the table, all facing the street. And while I was a guest of the government there, we went down the Champs-Élysées toward the Arch of Triumph. And on the way back, we stopped in this French restaurant on the sidewalk cafe. And I sat down and put my back to the street, which was my first mistake. And the French gentleman, he started laughing and he called the waiter and he told him in French what I had done, simply sit with my back to the street. He said, why do you think I brought you here to drink coffee? He said, we're supposed to sit here and watch the girls go by. Well, I had to turn my seat around and I got the point. But in Germany and in Sweden and Finland

and England, women are women no matter where you go. Fashions, they change every year practically. But I understand that. I understand that. I understand that. I understand that. I understand that fashions will continue as they are in 1970, the same as they are here in 1969. So you women won't have to worry too much about that. The Vietnam War, which is an undeclared war, which I personally wish that some people on the Hill would listen to the right people for a change. The Vietnam War will not come to an abrupt end as many people hope and pray that it will, for many reasons. One military expert said in Washington that in order for us to stop the Vietnam War now,

again, we'd face economic chaos in the United States because there wouldn't be enough jobs to go around to bring all these boys home. Now, I would like to pose several questions which I already have to the president, namely these. What has been accomplished so far? This costly fiasco has cost the American people a fortune. Now, if these moneys could have been used for rehabilitation purposes in the United States and to help the poor and to show them what direction to go and to create employment and to even conduct classes, teaching, teach people just things that they don't know in order to help them to have confidence and faith in themselves so they themselves can

go out and make a living. an honest living we'll be far more ahead as far as the space program is concerned you may think this strange coming from me but i think we're wasting our time i think our space program the billions of dollars that are being spent to put man on the moon and to explore other places this is a waste of time this could be done in a less expensive way if they would listen to people like valiant or but in order to listen to people like him they've got to admit that ufos are real and that space people are walking among us now i i i thought dan fry's illustration yesterday was perfect how some people on the moon saw a ufo looked like a spider come down some people got

out of it and were jumping all over the place then they put up a cloth made of rub white and blue and saluted it turn on your camera and let it have time and show yourself and then they go out of place and run home of it and if the money has gotten lost how can you runavana i don't know there isara they don't have that kind of economic opportunity that salary they need to come home with here because before i was still poor enough i wouldn't have a life but a real problem if a huge filtering set has to grow too small what if they're not leaving my bank so we're powered down considering They got some stones and sand, put it in the sack, and then blasted off again. I thought that was very humorous.

But in time to come, I believe we're going to be able to send instruments to these other areas to find out exactly what these other planets are made of, if we're supposed to at that time. Now, one more item. I have a letter here from Congressman Gerald Ford, who we have invited as one of our principal speakers to our convention in Los Angeles the early part of next year. We have also invited and received a reply from Dr. Wernher von Braun, and we also anticipate bringing his teacher, Professor Hermann Oberth from Germany,

as one of the speakers to the convention in Los Angeles. My letter to Mr. Ford questioned him as to what, for the sake, what steps are being conducted to bring more UFO information to the American public. This was the reply. I have your letter of August 29th, and I have consulted both House Committee on Armed Service and the House Committee on Science and Astronautics concerning any possibility of open congressional hearings

on the subject of unidentified flying objects. The spokesmen for the committees tell me that the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Defense that as of today, neither of these committees are considering any further hearings on the subject. Warmest regards. Now, as the president of the National Investigations Committee on UFOs,

we now have members of our club in 41 countries. Information is still coming in from many nations of this planet. UFOs are still being sighted. In Finland, we were greeted by the co-host. He is the head of the Methodist Church in Helsinki, Finland. His name is Dr. Maricolio. He took us way out on the outskirts of the city in a marshy place.

We parked the car, got out of the car, and he pointed to a lake, a small lake nearby. He said, in the year 1900, a shiny object was seen. A shiny object with four lakes slowly descended from the sky and sat on the ground. He said three men got out of the ship, all dressed in a silver uniform.

And they spoke to some boys, little boys that were swimming in the lake. And he said to the boys, the fellow said to the boys, give us some water. And they gave the boys containers. They looked like stainless steel containers. The boys dipped some water, gave them to these three spacemen.

The spacemen thanked them in the Finnish language, told them to back away from the ship. Then the three spacemen proceeded to get on board the ship. The doors closed. The ship raised slowly about 500 feet and stopped. The legs telescoped shut, all four of them. And then it tipped slightly and shot over toward the city of Helsinki.

We asked Dr. Maricolio, how come you, you know all these details. He said, I was one of the little boys. In Berlin, we were the guest of some very fine people by the name of Heddenhausen, who's in the motion picture industry.

And he took me one afternoon to a certain studio where we expect to do the music to our motion picture, Stranger at the Pentagon. And then from there, he took me to the home of another individual who was a witness to the Helgoland UFO crash. Some years ago,

this UFO crashed in Helgoland, Germany, that used to serve as a U-boat base during the first war. And when the authorities got to the spot, they found seven bodies. The men were about five feet eight, eight inches tall, all had excellent teeth, all had on this strange silvery uniform

that was impregnable. The spaceship itself was very light, could be tipped over by two people. They found all kinds of artifacts on board. This whole incident that came to my attention many years ago, that I wrote in my book called Flying Saucerama. We have some of those here too.

I was amazed to hear one of the witnesses talk about this Helgoland experience because he said, I don't know exactly who the authorities were. He said some of them were German and some of them were American, but he said the others,

we don't know who they were. But whoever they were, they commanded the people who are cleaning up this crash scene to take the ship and the bodies. Two of these bodies, according to this witness, were flown here to the United States

at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to be carefully studied because the suspicion was that they were not from this galaxy. Now, you would think that an incident of this magnitude would have received worldwide coverage,

but we got the information through a Swedish, pardon me, a Norwegian physicist, Dr. Larsson Loberg. Now, these are incidents that take place, not just here in the United States, but other parts of the world.

Valiant Thor is still here in the United States. He still resides in Glendale, California. I spent several hours with him last Wednesday night in San Diego. He told me this. He said there are changes, physical changes on the Earth plane taking place.

There are spiritual changes taking place. He said the Almighty will never force himself or his will upon anyone. When you seek the truth, the truth will come to you. It's not going to accidentally fall in front of you and you accidentally stumble over it. At the same time,

in the Soviet Union, they have found I don't know what in the world this creature is, but it was located and reported on February the 26th. They found this so-called humanoid, very similar to some of the creatures that are found wandering around the northern part of the state of California,

also up near Seattle. On the West Coast, there have been many strange sightings of individuals, some 14 foot tall, some 12 feet tall, look like hairy creatures, but this one is void of any hair. But it's on the front page of this magazine called Salsa News,

which is put out by James Mosley, the editor of Salsa News in New York City. He's got an office on Fifth Avenue there, and he puts out this magazine. But this weird humanoid, slightly shorter than an adult height. I don't know all the facts and figures concerning this, but according to

Vesensky Ducevich from the Soviet Union, he said that they saw this UFO hovering above his truck about 400 feet. The object zoomed off at high speed and apparently exploded and crash-landed. Now, this is on the front page of this.

It's a hideous looking thing. I don't know what it is or where it came from, but I do know this. There are many, many inhabited planets of this universe. I would suspect for the most part that there are just as many beings, let's call them that for a moment,

advanced to the point that we are, as are still behind us. I cannot share the opinion of Wernher von Braun that the Earth is the insane asylum of the universe, because I've met a lot of sensible people here, and a lot of people that I love, and I appreciate their judgment. The reason I brought this up was just to show you that

there are many strange unsolved mysteries. You've heard of little green men. We've laughed about the green men. We've made jokes about the green men. And yet at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., they have photographs of little green men, four feet tall that landed right in South America, in the middle of the world,

grabbed their throats and fell over dead. The pigmentation of their skin was green. So now we've got pictures of green men. And what do we do? Keep laughing or press an investigation in an attempt to discover where these people came from. It's easy to laugh. It's easy to scoff.

It's easy to run up and down the road on a motorcycle with a bottle of beer in it. This is all easy. But it takes a little more courage and a little more imagination and a little more appreciation for yourself as well as to other people to stop long enough to investigate why certain things are taking place around us.

And if we are interested, as I stand here before God, I can tell you that the more we investigate, the more we're going to get to the bottom of most of these mysteries. And in time, according to the good book, all mysteries will be revealed to us anyhow. Do you agree? Say aye.

He got tied up and I got tied up and that's the way things go. Now here's, and she's got a announcement to make. And I have a retreat that I have established out in the Anza area. I'm about 10 miles from Anza, South and East and Trillegar Valley. And I would very much like to get acquainted with some people that would like to get away from the smoke.

And I would like to go out in the fog and come out in the mountainous area and have fresh air to breathe. And this place that I have established, it's a very beautiful mountain view. I have a scope of about 16 miles of the valley and I'm surrounded by mountains. So, the mountains, which is the Santa Roses and the San Jacinto mountains.

And I would very much like to find some people that would like to bring their trailers or campers and come out for weekends or for a week. And really, I'd like to find somebody that would like to come and make their home there. And I do not make any charge at all. I have water and electricity. My closest neighbor is about a mile and three quarters. So you may know it's quite secluded.

And there can be hunting and there's deer and rabbits quail and so forth.

And if you want to get out and holler, why you can because there's nobody that would hear you know anything about it. So, I would really like to meet some retired metaphysical minded people. That would like to come out and join me out there. And at times that we could have group sections sessions and speak our own minds. But that's the story. They had in the house and they were recognized by the townspeople as men. Well,

if you examine things closely, you'll find that substituting the word people for angels makes the thing makes sense back in those days when the books of the Bible were written. I've been a hundred thousand people. He didn't know what he was writing. He just wrote records and events. Like a newspaper reporter things that were brought to him. They wasn't even in the may have happened miles away or even when those days took a long time to get information anywhere record. You've got to realize the inability of the people who wrote the records to express themselves in any other way than they did.

The Bible says all things shall be rebuilt so fast. It's the scientific field and the economic field. The military field can't keep up with the changes. Scientific know-how and our understanding of a lot of these things. I think it would be a wonderful thing if somebody had the time.

In the scientific field magnetic expressions and the terms we use today in place of these things much more understandable. Some of the Vedic records back in the Sanskrit our oldest written records. And many other records throughout the world religious history. Tells. Visitors coming out of the skies. His physical beings. They walked among the people they talked with them. And they manifested unusual powers.

So naturally they were looked upon as angelic or of divine nature. Back in 1929 was forced to land in the middle of a South American jungle. They finally got to him with help. He was mounted on a throne and he was the God of the tribe who saw him came out of the sky. I believe they were treating him so good. Some of the Russian archaeology that has come out recently in several books. I can't pronounce the man's name. But he discovered in cave in the Swiss mandated painting on the wall.

The carbon dates back 4000 years of a man with a space helmet on in a 14th century monastery in Yugoslavia. He found a mural painted the full face of one wall. That showed. Triangular streamlined shaped ships going overhead with people at the controls and the people on the ground beneath them cowering in fear. I think that's as old as religion in history. What is the establishment of people on this planet and you go back into some of the old records. And you find that Adam and Eve were the first man and woman. It's a strange thing that the Adam is them wife somewhere.

In the luxury versus people down in the slums that haven't got a glass of milk to drink the only thing that's ever going to straighten these people out on the earth among us is ourselves. We the people are the majority. And when we decide the minority has made laws and buttered palms and accepted grass the people will rise up as one and say put a stop to it or get out. And this is the only physical way. That you can correct the condition on this planet today and the majority decide that we are the people that our Constitution says a government of the people by the people and for the people flag represents oceans.

It makes in the breeze of manifest a living activity and yet we pursue to the destruction of a civilization. You can't blame China. You can't blame anybody else for the problems in this. Thank you. Thank you. It's like going out and visiting a neighbor and then going home and saying oh boy did you see that dust of butts laying there on the we've got to get away from the derogatory attitude of each other in judging others. Maybe the poor woman was feeling bad and didn't have time to pick up the cigarette butts. It's nobody's business if the cigarette butts were laying on the table.

We've got to get rid of all these little judgments within ourselves of others. Representatives and elected people in Washington. We're doing the damnedest they can do to correct the condition but they are stuck with a system that's against them. Every principle relation that just sits there and says let Washington do it instead of standing back on them making the happen the basic fundamental wrong of a civilization. It reverts back to the people who didn't have time to care who didn't have time to vote who didn't have time to think structure and the economy demanded. They were kindred. There were times so heavily that all I could do is rest in the war. And this is what you're stuck with today.

This thing up here because I were to tell you these things are the deciding factor in our own fate. Pride of free choice free choice. The first thing you've got to do is quit judging others regardless of except everything. As God given God created and look at the other man's viewpoint position. You may see the reason why he was not because of his faith but because of his confidence. A man have faith in God. for why they do as they do and then help them to correct it this we're going to go to lunch and after lunch we'll have some other speakers anything I've said

anything you want to look at it person has the yoga in the Sun and religion right now no statement I know it because I don't believe in religion I believe in faith within myself within my brother and that's where God lives as far as I'm concerned it was given to us not in the Bible I like the Bible it's a good book it's pretty nice pictures in it too many times I read the Bible and interpret it for my own good just like many other people do it's that simple but God is your brother

is your wife your lover your friend your children your neighbor he is within yourself so whomsoever your God may be whatsoever your God may be as long as you believe so shall you receive it says that in the good book too for one little reasons why you're here today. Searching for something, someone, somewhere. Searching for a contact in your car. A scientist in his own right and in his own field as a nuclear physicist with a background in nuclear physics, equal to most at least, and a good background in UFO study and he knows they're real. And I'm going to give you again, stand to freedom.

What I said yesterday, these scientists who are interested in UFOs indicated yesterday that there is an enormous amount of interest in this subject. Scientists and engineers are rather frustrated with trying to figure out how do you get better data? Listen to 10 or 20 witnesses describe what they've seen. Many of you will do with somebody's description of what happened. And many scientists stay away from UFOs simply because they're just not trained to deal with descriptions of peculiarities. So I thought it might be worthwhile to try to upgrade some of the reporting of UFOs for other people to study. What we found is that we asked people how big was something? Distance.

To give us the notion of relative size, size, maybe I should call it angular size, we usually like to ask people how big a thing at arm's length, what you saw. And if you've never practiced doing this, most people will. We'll tell you that size was actually the case. For example, how big a thing would cover the moon at arm's length? Fine, at arm's length. Practice, if you do make an effort, you know, watch the airplanes going by, they're the easiest thing, or the moon when it comes up in the sky. Pretty soon you can get pretty good at judging what its angular size was, the apparent size, the relative size. That's meaningful. If you tell us 50 feet, we know

that it's angular. And you know that the moon is angular. There's no way to determine that from looking at something from a distance. Another thing is we ask, where was it in the sky? There are a lot of answers, but none of them something that you can pin down. So there are two things you can try to measure. And again, this is something you can practice. What's the angular height? How high above the horizon was what you saw? 15 was a decent estimate. It's much better than, well, it was off.

There's also the east or west. And rather than tell us it was to the east, it was to the east. And most people don't really know where east is, or west is, or north or south is. Go back to the same place and put a couple of stones and say it was that way. And say, well, watch something really peculiar for 10 seconds, and it can seem like the longest 10 seconds of your life. You have to watch, which is the obvious thing to do, or turn the radio on so you get some idea what time it was. You can count if you see something going by at a good close. Just count to yourself.

Determine how many counts it takes to go from one landmark to another, like from that peak to that peak. And basketball players use the old trick. You can count 1,001, 1,002, 1,003. Numbers are spaced a second apart. How long you've watched something, but what speed it was going. Degrees across the sky it covered in a certain period of time. Surprise. You don't need to be very sophisticated. You don't need to have a lot of practice. You don't need to be trained in airplane. You can start with very useful information about size, apparent size, altitude. The problem that if everybody would make a little bit more effort...

To try to bring back information or to hold on to information that somebody can do something with. Lines, for example, you might... Saucer shape. How much wider was it than it was high? Saucer shape to you may not be the same thing than it may be. A lot of the other peculiar terms that people use to describe things. Fact.

to the problem it's sort of peculiar too what do people really think about ufos i don't mean the people who are here this is probably not a terribly representative as opposed to society at

large afraid to talk about ufos that the people they talk to will automatically put them down for it taken in pittsburgh pennsylvania which is where i was for three years before coming to california taken just a year ago let's say that the guys who took the poll were biased or prejudiced or what have you it was a marketing research class at a local college much one way or another about ufos anyway they asked a bunch of questions to five page report i'd like to summarize the results of the questions i think you'd be surprised was do you think ufos are real but it's something other than misidentified conventional phenomenon 66 percent of the people i asked this question said

yes they think they're real only 17 percent said no so believers outnumbered non-believers four to one guy who's talking or answering the question doesn't need to give his name doesn't know the person who's asking the question can be completely anonymous and honest about his feelings second question was do you think the government is telling us all it knows about ufos eight percent of the people said no they don't think the government is telling us all it knows only eight percent said yes credibility gaps in today's world that's certainly one of the biggest ten to one people don't believe that the government's telling them all it knows percent said outer space 36

percent undecided percent said that they had seen what they would consider to be a ufo 11 percent that's a heck of same kind of thing happens when i ask after my talk it certainly happened here yesterday and the funny thing is that everybody who's seen one is rather surprised to look around and find that other people have also seen them people said that they know somebody who's seen a ufo situation of everybody being interested in ufos a majority of people being believers in ufos a substantial number of people having seen one and still our society the media the scientists was no such thing as a ufo when i say ufo this term gets bandied about by a lot of people and i perhaps haven't made clear what i mean

i believe flying saucers are real and that's not only the label on the pin up here but it's also the title of the lecture i've been giving across the country people see there's some kind of a vehicle from elsewhere that certainly isn't the case i would say offhand would say 80 percent of the things people see that they can't identify can be identified by somebody else spending enough time money and effort maybe it's venus maybe it's an airplane maybe it's a balloon you name it somebody called it a ufo those things that people report or they don't give enough information that you can tell what it is that people are flying saucers a real ufos are real i'm talking about those sightings of things which the people

who see them can't identify but which also can't be identified by competent investigators spending enough time money and effort maybe it's five it doesn't matter the number is quite substantial i think one of the problems about ufos is that their terms when they talk about them and when one person says flying saucers are real they're not real they're not real they're not real or ufos are really means well of course people see things that they don't understand says that they're real he means that the stuff that you can identify there's still something useful left i mentioned today that i don't believe i mentioned yesterday just in recommending it in the sense of i don't make any money from it i you know nothing like that at all but a new book that i haven't

seen out very much on the newsstand same man who wrote incident at exeter and the interrupted journey the betty and barney hill story and what john did was take the hearings that were held before congress last year in july a dozen scientists who testified there to congress with the findings of the condon committee so it's a book published by putnam's and it's going to be out in paperback this is a good place a kind of forum an open discussion on a pretty decent level both sides of the story with him pointing out the many discrepancies and the findings of the condon report the strange attitudes of some aspects of the condon report and comparing these with strictly the testimony of scientists now i certainly would not say although

i am a scientist because a scientist said something that it's true that's nonsense there are many scientists saying many things that aren't true at all it lends a bit more weight when a guy is an expert on upper atmospheric phenomena that what somebody else identified as an upper atmospheric phenomena wasn't that means much more than somebody arguing and saying well i don't think that's what it was well the one guy you're justified in believing a bit more than the other than keeping up with popular subject there's a lot of stuff on the market that's rehash that's putting together what other people have written well you'll find them in the collections in the back that were actually published 10 and 15 years

ago to try to cash in on the modern day interest so one book that doesn't fit that mold is by john g fuller trying to decide what what to say that would be i think that the gray file i get asked a lot of questions about people who seem to think that the world is a place where people build is either black or white that you have a every question can be answered yes or no that you do or don't believe that something is or isn't true attitude rather disturbing because despite all our knowledge despite the developments of the last 20 years 10 years five years all the money has been spent on new science you have to remember that there are an awful lot of questions which have to remain open which cannot be answered

i think many of us do the ufo cause a disservice making positive so that i can't make a choice either way a file be true answer that question or i haven't spent enough effort to decide whether it's true or not it's all too easy to say yeah i'm sure that's right and you hear yourself say that the next time you get asked the question you're even sure because you heard some expert yourself to turn some people off about ufos is that some of the people who go before the public act as if everything is positive definite every sighting and true and i am personally convinced that that isn't the case and it doesn't need to be the attention of the scientific community or any other community to reach the

public than trying to reach the scientific community by trying to reach the media people and the politicians who decide how money gets spent decide where our country is going where the world is going when we say we have an open mind make that statement i've got an open mind on this subject and then follow it with a strong expression of opinion again perhaps if you'd like i try to answer some questions so that those who weren't here yesterday may have some questions let's see what happens thank you very much for listening question asked dan shout it to me and i'll repeat it if you're worried about not being able to be heard i seem to work yesterday at least

if i read along yet question was have i seen a ufo myself there may be 95 percent of the people in my lectures if you don't mind i'll give you the same answer i give anything that i would consider to be a ufo for 13 years i've never seen one of them either so i don't need to see one to believe us haven't seen many of the things that we believe exist we accept witness testimony i wish i had seen one maybe i maybe my glasses need changing i don't know i've lived in the city most of the time and in a dirty city like pittsburgh you look up you don't see much else but smog the los angeles city is a dirty city it's a dirty city it's a dirty city it's a dirty city it's a dirty city it's a dirty city it's a dirty city it's a dirty city it's a dirty city it's a dirty city

hasn't cornered the market on atmospheric contamination let me tell you other questions peace besides nycap and apro but could be relied upon to give a good scientific report on ufos or talk to it is because i was very much involved in this group flying soccer review excellent magazine that likes to get reports of sightings published in england i might consider it the best journal in the field pennsylvania called the ufo research institute independently let me tell you just a little bit about them because it gives may give some of you who want to do something about ufos a clue as to what to do we set up membership we set up a 24 hour answering service we made an all-out effort to get our number out in front of the public

people calling us about sightings and we had a bunch of engineers and scientists with equipment ready to go out to the scene of a sighting it's much better than waiting for the ufo to come to you please have your number all the radio stations the television stations you can do this kind of thing anywhere an answering service costs 20 bucks a month out here institute i would recommend there's saucer scoop down in florida there's uh we're called members here members here and a couple of nycap members i'm amazed is everybody against these groups or you know we haven't gone far enough interested officially connected a dozen scientists in the los angeles area who are very seriously

interested in ufos who will make an effort to get the number out of the public you have to know who they are to get to them and you can call me i guess as a matter of fact i am i will leave down at the bottom geographies a list of books on ufos that has also the addresses of afro and nycap and of the flying saucer review and an order blank for some of the hard to get documents three out of four of which are not available here at least i haven't seen them so again communications committee ufos that you know physical society there's no question physicist organizations but if you're

interested in ufos besides how to get out of the sun when it's hot like today the other side of the sighting picture not just the physical description of the phenomena the kind of thing i was talking about before you know what did it do and how did it behave and how big was it and what color was it and all this sort of thing but the other aspects of the sighting are scientists interested in those the physiological aspects the psychological aspects yes there are scientists interested in those aspects too typically they're psychologists more than they are physicists because that's the area they're accustomed to dealing with and this congressional

testimony that i discussed incidentally that question is discussed in some detail by a couple of psychologists and the sociologists so you know most of us who are seriously concerned with ufos are just as much interested in how did you feel after you had seen this thing watching it or two weeks later when you thought about it and how did you feel after you had seen this thing watching it that's just as interesting really as your description of it when the ultimate in data is measurements with instruments and most people don't carry much in the way of instruments to to take measurements with so the person observation of his own feelings is probably more accurate than anything else he can give us and is of great interest and the problem really

is to find investigators who are sufficiently open-minded that people who see things will be willing to tell them how they felt some people are quite embarrassed to read the data and some of them will reveal that you know the most beautiful thing i ever saw i've heard people tell me the experience i've ever had well saying that kind of thing to somebody who they're not sure that he might not laugh at them non-physical non-propulsion scheme aspects of ufo sightings matter of fact you might get more help from that and then from the other end i think any other questions coming up here accepting the invitation of paul wilson and staying overnight and having some fun jacobson and uh mr and mrs bell pass through the crowd and try to get

enough more money to cover the expenses of that thing amount that was taken up yesterday wasn't half of it so i'm going to leave it up to your spiritual feeling for speakers to take out of the restaurant the money needed to cover the other expenses so if you'll contribute as they come around i'll certainly be grateful at the time to tell you that maybe we better to get away from and the people at night who tear things up in on that all the junk and uh this collection is being taken up this time so give from your heart and i'll thank you in advance don't have to introduce him i don't think he's been in this business since 1952 and he says he isn't going to talk very long

but whatever he tells you in the past it has been firm and staunch and true throughout this dr freeman here i imagine every one of you enjoyed him and it's very very heartening to people like yourselves and myself to see a nuclear physicist really interested in this subject and he told you many of them are quite interested but they have to remain a little bit on the conservative side of it i will speak no longer than 15 minutes and it's to introduce a new book i haven't written anything since 1950 when son of the sun came out which came out in 59 but about six months ago i just felt like everyone

else today that the the final days the end days the the days of prophecy are coming true these days we know that in fact it seems to be the whole color and tone of billy graham's sermons if you notice and many other preachers are coming around into the same tone of feeling if you're in the groove if dr strange has said if you have that inner consciousness you can see it and feel it well this happened to me a little over six months ago and i didn't know i just had to scramble it was almost like a vision i couldn't go to sleep at night and i he just crowded into me almost in in reality so i began to write what i carried it so and i came up with it's only about 32 pages

but it has 18 chapters very short chapters it's a million year prophecy now somebody a few of them came to me says well i play a safe a million years from now we'll stick around and see if it isn't so in fact i believe we will be around because i do believe in repeated lifetimes and everlasting life this is not on the spiritual plane this is getting right down to nuts and bolts and hardwood i'm speaking really on we speak on the street about things we're all interested in for instance here are the chapters and they go into the very depth evolving a whole period not a million years from now some of these things are already taking shape right before our eyes faster than i thought

the contents 18 chapters one is a preview last then about this author since i am unknown in predictions and prophecies which i have never done before i tell you a little bit about myself then i'll tell you a little bit about me the million year awareness and many of you have that cosmic consciousness well we'll call it a million year awareness so we can get it you can go a million years forward thinking and you'll find that it also stretches you backward a million years in the past and find that there is no such thing as time there's always now and you can predict from there on in fact you will know what's coming not be able to guess at it now chapter four is

one language that is coming soon i guess many of you realize it will be the english language in 1961 the whole world will be speaking it's not survival of the fittest indeed but not the fit in strength and physical and hard-headed business ability survival of another kind of fit real humanitarians i mean real people of the future as our space brothers now chapter six the smooth economy of course the smooth economy goes on to the ultimate which will mean no money no policeman no army as dr stranger said walk in any house there'll be no keys no locks have what you need and want and go on to the next one and one equals three that's very deep it's the very nature and heart of the living universe there's never the one and

one in the living universe in the fundamental nature equals two equals three when we say and we already created the interaction a pendulum swings back and forward but there's that third when it's in the middle that is the most important it is the very same force which is applied in every direction so that one and one equals three and actually when it's understood you find it's only one will the sun burn out i think i almost succeed in proving that it never will burn out the solar system is ten it's ten see at once people have figured in their numbers of nine but i do like it out here you see uh in in the decimal system we can figure out anything in the universe everything once they figured only nines then somebody added another

zero and then gave life to the nine nine planets how symbolic they are meaningful and the third is life and the tenth gives life to all the other nine it's the sun and it outweighs all the other planets combined by many times things to come is just a group of assorted things to come among them is of course that run it right here and china will really go at it and when you see that they're talking over peace problems and signing papers well that's what hitler and stalin did before they attacked it well before hitler attacked or whatever to see it but it will but the world is not going to be destroyed transition of russia slowly becoming a capitalist nation but slowly in fact they're even now beginning to go in profit-sharing they're experimenting with it

california's fall which will be within the next 10 years i don't mean under the pacific ocean as many uh others have predicted i don't mean that kind of a fault i mean the social the population and then how by 1975 there will be a return and a rebirth of new california bigger and better than ever now 13 who rules the world it's not the catalyst it's not it's others and i won't go into that because i only have 15 minutes the third party will grow yes I do mean the American Freedom Party

or is that the name of the George Wallace party does it it will grow for certain reasons right now there seems to be a dearth in it but there's going to be a big pick up within the next two years you can feel it

you can see it coming and it tells why then the 15th chapter we live again and again there of course is everlasting life 16th, geological perfection the world one day must reach it no more earthquakes, in fact no more mountains even as we know them

no more storms 17th, chapters evolution, just that one word all of evolution 18th, the new religion everybody's thinking that new religion and many things they have found here and there, they're forming groups

but coming soon I don't know where it will pop out from but it will be glorious we will need it and who's going to launch it, I don't know but the angels will see that let's say us, praise the brothers and certainly the Lord will

I have heard a few of the questions that have been asked and some of the other speakers realize that for many people we're way back where we were 16 years ago 16 years now have lectured for many high schools

colleges, universities and so forth some aspects of the UFO frequently I have been introduced as an expert on space the first thing that I have to do when I get to the microphone is correct that

I have misapprehension as I have to point out that as yet there simply are no experts on space on this planet relative degrees of ignorance some people who are having spent as I have some 15 years of rather diligent

phases of this if not with conclusions at least with data which enables a person to make intelligent conclusions for himself many people have accused me of taking much too long to answer a question

and probably this is correct but instead of answering the question for my own authority I attempt to present factual known data to surround the subject in such a way that the individual can understand the answer for himself

without having to take my say so for anything sometimes this is a cumbersome process and it takes time but once the individual gets the answer he's got it gotten it from his own knowledge, and he doesn't have to accept my say-so for it, and it's much better that way. He will never forget it because he has gotten the answer for himself. As I have been pointing out now for some 16 years, the greatest percentage of misunderstanding on the subject arises from the fact that people attempt to create arbitrary answers, oversimplified

answers which cover individual event and individual observation made by certain people. It must be considered individually on its own merits, if any. We cannot set up comfortable or convenient rules which cover all sightings. Notes this morning on what I was going to talk about in this period, and I called them the ABC of the UFO. We're going back about 16 years. I've been pointing out since... O' ... that time, with a certain amount of success in some cases, the fact that an object has been seen in the skies that does not seem to answer conventional patterns of behavior or appearance, and someone suggests that it might be from somewhere else visiting the

planet, there will be a series of... a number of questions, which I have listed as ABC,

D, E, and F in that order. O' So what I wanted to do is to... O' Which are the other questions? The other questions that I wanted to be asked, are they the two... O' Which are the other questions? The other questions that I wanted to be asked, are they the two... O' ... the other questions that I wanted to be asked, are they the two... order. They are almost always asked in that order. By people of every race, in this case is no different from any of the other people, I ask the questions in about the same way, in about the same order. A. If this is true, if this is a spaceship from someplace other

than this planet, from whence does it come? And here begins the controversy and the misunderstanding, because the way this question is asked makes it obvious that the questioner is thinking of only one possible source. I have heard many rather heated arguments between people, one of whom would say, oh, they all come from Mars, and someone else would say, oh, no, they come from Venus, and someone else says, oh, no, they come from the center of the Earth, and someone else will say, oh, no, they come from some other galaxy, because none of our planets are too capable of supporting intelligent life. There will be great controversy between these people, none of whom seem to realize that they could all be wrong.

As we develop our understanding in this society, and our ego recesses a little bit, we almost inevitably will become aware of the fact that we live in a galaxy that teems with life and intelligence in every direction. We are in the possession of a few goldfish in a goldfish bowl mounted at the corner of 42nd Broadway in New York, and at first we think we are the only living things in existence. We are the only living things in existence. We are the only living things in existence. We are the only living things in existence. We are one of a kind, and we appreciate and contents and Len , usar Sometimes you have been reminded that you are an asian and non-b albo a sicilian.

In that sense, what does Hoppe read about being a person of months? Well, by looking at the age it's generally consistent, and in fact, 57 or 88 years after our allowances for existence. we can't read through the walls very readily, and if one goldfish suggested that there might be life outside of the aquarium or the goldfish bowl, his fellows would say well I was ridiculous, especially the scientists among the goldfish would say that's ridiculous, because we live in a water environment, and life could only take place in a water environment. That outside there has air. It's an alien and hostile environment, and nothing could live in it, and so the scientist would be a first to discount the possibility of life in air because they know that it requires a water environment.

Our perceptions grew a little bit. We might accept the fact that there was life outside and we might see people going by or automobiles going by. And we might say, gee, I wonder where they all come from. Obviously, they must all come from the same place. They must all be coming for the same purpose. They must all be coming in the same kind of vehicles. If they come in vehicles.

And so the goldfish would attempt to set down scientific rules to explain the appearance of these life forms. And they wouldn't be very successful because each comes from a different place for a different purpose and in many different types of vehicles. Once they come, we live in a galaxy that teems with life and intelligence in every direction. Probably the majority of that life

has long since passed. That's our state of development. There are undoubtedly some planets on which there has yet reached our state of development. At this point, again, the scientist will interrupt and he'll say, well, gosh, but true, there's undoubtedly millions of planets that have conditions suitable for life as we know it,

but they're so darn far away. The nearest one, Alpha, Proxima, Centauri, the Triad, are four and three-tenths light years from here. And even at the highest speed we've been able to achieve, it would take years and years and years to get here. And certainly no individuals would like to crawl into a small spaceship and spend 15 or 20 years just coming to visit this planet to see what's here.

This is the thing that I refer to as extreme scientific myopia. The ability to look even a few years into the future or project our own science a few years into the future, because we are already planning to build spaceships that will be totally independent of this planet from the day they leave it. They will have built-in cycles of ecology that will take in energy from outside sources,

primarily the sun, just as this spaceship we call the Earth has been doing for a few hundred million years and use this energy to keep the cycle of life going. It's a chemical and physical cycle of life that has been going on here for millions of years, and we have to keep it going. We haven't used up any of the raw materials such as air and water yet.

We are busily polluting them at the present time, but we aren't using them up. There's just as much around as there was before. Scientists, and in all the investigation on the Condon investigation, there isn't a single evidence that any scientist ever considered the possibility that intelligent life might dwell in these spaceships independent of planets.

They pointed out how far away the other planets were and said, that no spaceship could ever get here in 10,000 years, and nobody even stopped to think of the fact that there might be a hundred spaceships between Alpha and Centauri in this solar system right now, and that some of them might have been there for a dozen generations,

and that the nearest one might be a couple hundred miles out on the shadowed side of the Earth right now, observing us from the shadowed side. We detected scientists who have looked into this probability that probably, 75% of all of the intelligent life in this galaxy has never set foot on a planet or in its forebears' life for many generations.

It begins upon planets. It develops there, but almost from the very beginning, it has the inherent need to escape from the planet on which it is trapped. We have begun to plan our escape, or we did begin to plan our escape from this planet as soon as our technology developed to a point

where we could not escape from it. We could think of the possibility of doing so. We began by dreaming of flying like the birds to get away from last year here, a picture called the history of flight that I put together, beginning with the Wright brothers' flight at Kitty Hawk and coming up to modern times,

and our present partly successful escapes from this planet. But within a few generations, a few decades, if we're financed at all, if the project is financed at all, we will be building and launching ships that will be totally independent of this planet. So we will be doing it ourselves, and if we assume that other races on other planets

achieved this ability centuries ago, perhaps millennia ago, we have to assume that there are a tremendous number of completely self-contained ships in this galaxy. None of them will show up on any telescope we have today. I noticed in the Condon Report, and it's an interesting thing, as I read that, I'm constantly irritated.

I go through that, and there's hardly a page. I don't want to stand up and shout, but look, the statement you're making is not valid scientifically because, and it's made is because of the scientific myopia that doesn't even look around the subject, or of course most of them are that way

simply because it was a copy of things that were written many years ago, and probably weren't even considered. They were just put in to fill out the book. But the statement was made in there that while it is possible that small, very small spaceships might have come to the vicinity of this solar system

from some other solar systems covering years and years of travel, it's unlikely that any race would think it worthwhile to crawl into a small spaceship and remain in that confined area. And at this point, you want to leap up and say, but why does it have to be a small one? And length, mile in diameter,

five miles in length, 10 miles in length. We have some cities that are bigger than this. We have the ability to assemble spaceships of any size we choose to build today in a parking orbit about this planet. We have already achieved that ability. Most of our present space exercises are oriented in the direction of docking.

Russians have a space platform in space right now. They're going to build one. They decided they couldn't beat us to the moon, so they've been concentrating on building a permanent space platform, something which we should have been doing, parallel with the moon journey. But it will be demonstrated in a few years.

It is possible to build any size ship in a parking orbit, sending the parts up a piece at a time and building them. We have the technology by which we can do it. Our scientists admit that there are at least tens of thousands, probably hundreds of thousands, and more likely millions of inhabited planets in this galaxy. Most of them are probably older than we because we happen to

occupy a rather unique portion of this galaxy. We're located in one of the spiral wings thrown out from the periphery of the galaxy. We're almost on the extreme outer edge. Partners have observed that the condensation of the galaxy begins from the inside out, that is, stars appear first in the central portions of these galaxies and appear in the periphery later on.

So we're at least a few million years behind the development of star systems in the center of the galaxy. If we assume that the development of intelligence or technological ability takes place relatively the same one, we have to assume that there are at least, as one astronomer put it in the lecture, at least 10,000 planets in the central portion of this galaxy that had on them intelligent life,

which intelligent life began traveling in space at least two million years ago. Now, this is an answer to the question of time. The astronomer says, gee, nobody could get from here, even if they wanted to. But the question of time is, how can we get from here, even to one of the nearest stars in a lifetime? Well, it's now admitted that it might be possible

to get to Alpha or Proxima Centauri in a lifetime, because our own technology has increased at a rate that it has enabled us to increase the top speed at which we can travel by a factor of 1,000 times in the last 70 years. Well, 1,000 times as fast as we could 70 years ago. There is no evidence whatever that this curve of increase will taper off at any point in the future.

We can confidently predict that if we keep this civilization together for another 60 or 70 years, we will have achieved speeds of 60, 30 to 60 million miles per hour. It's starting now, but not nearly as startling as the projected speed of 30,000 miles per hour would have sounded to your grandmother a few decades ago. Objections which some scientists consider to be unexplainable objections. They can never get here.

The first question is, from whence do they come? The second question is, how in the world can they? This is where the myopia comes in, because the scientist obviously is considering only our present degree of technology and only one man's lifetime. He says if we can't make it in one lifetime, nobody's going to go. And I have at this point to remind you all

that we live on a spaceship. We're living on a spaceship called the Earth. It's a fairly big spaceship. It's big enough so the gravitational field keeps the air, the water, and the food on the outside rather than having to confine it on the inside as you would do on a smaller ship. But it's traveling through space at quite a high rate of speed, between 120 and 140 miles per second

as it rotates with the periphery of the galaxy, doing something over 100 miles per second through space that we know of. We have a fairly high velocity, and in 125 million years or so we're going to be halfway around the galaxy. It's a spaceship. We're traveling at 125 to 120 miles per second. 140 miles per second on the periphery of the galaxy. It's going to take us 125 million years to get halfway around.

On the journey in space, in this spaceship, it's going to take 125 million years to complete. Yet I've never heard anyone say, stop the galaxy, I want to get off. I can't bear to spend the next 125 million years just going around to see what's on the other side of the galaxy. It's to think where he's going or how long it's going to take him to get there.

We have too many things that have to be done today, tomorrow. We have ways to amuse ourselves. We study, we learn. The point of this is that on the tremendous spaceships that have been built by other civilizations, and launched that are completely independent of any planet, the arrival of such a spaceship in the vicinity of this planet is only one minor event in the lives of whatever generation

happens to be aboard the ship at that time. It is not the purpose for which that ship was built, it's not the purpose for which that ship was launched, it's not the purpose for which the ship was staffed with people. It is an independent entity, a planetoid in itself, and when the astronomer says how far away the other planets are, he never stops to think about the possibility of artificial planets. The report says that interstellar travel has to be done in small ships,

and we haven't detected any of these. But a spaceship one mile in diameter outside of the orbit of Jupiter would not be detectable by any instrument or any telescope we have today. We detected the moons of Mars, the albedo, especially if it were made of non-reflective material, it could be infinitely closer than that and never be detected. It couldn't be built so they could be a few hundred miles out and never be detected. As the universe of other life is too far away,

the answer is that he doesn't know a thing about it. There's no possible way he can know what life may be. It may be 900 miles out in the shadow of the Earth right now looking us over in a fairly good-sized spaceship. In answer to the question, from whence do they come, is to interview the individuals themselves, and they might have a very great difficulty in telling us where that ship was built. If it's been in space for a few dozen generations,

it's covered even a few... New General Star Catalog in order to identify the star that had the planet on which the ship was built. They couldn't identify it immediately because the cosmos would look totally different from the point at which they left than it looks to us. It's very difficult to identify a star except from a given spot and then only by its direction and something about its size and mass. These are the simple answers to the objections,

the major objections, that scientists make. They're not valid. The objections have no validity at all and even the scientists must accept the fact that they have no validity when the facts are pointed out. And these are things that are well known. I'm not asking you to accept anything on my say-so.

These are all in books. They're all in textbooks, in scientific textbooks. You can read them for yourself. The third question that sometimes comes up is why should they? What are they going to do? What do they want from us? The answer is nothing at all. Probably in most cases it's simply a craft

that is on its way from point A to point B and happens to come close enough to this planet so that their advanced instruments detect that there is life here and perhaps out of curiosity or out of study they swing in a little closer to see how far this primitive race has progressed. Having studied this briefly, they may go on their way with no further thought. In some cases, they may perceive that we as a civilization are at a rather critical point in our development,

a point which might terminate the development, in fact, might terminate the race very abruptly. And having had past experience with such matters in their own history, they might feel there were a few answers that could be given to prevent these things from happening. Yesterday, for those of you who heard me yesterday, a proposal, right, that proposal, that proposal was dictated to me.

by a gentleman in the Sacramento. About this gentleman, he was perfectly normal in appearance, perfect now. It just happens that he wasn't born on this planet. Known to thousands of people now, but very few, if any, know that he is alien on this planet. This was this proposed suggestion of how to approach the critical problem

from which most of our social problems today evolve. And in this case, this was just one member of a relatively small group who thought perhaps there was something that could be done. I have to beg the pardon of those of you who have heard it every year for the past five or six years because I see a lot of new faces here. It's something of great importance

that will enable you to answer at least 90 of the first 100 questions that are asked on the subject of UFOs from your own knowledge without asking anyone else at all. I'd like to emphasize that if intelligent life reaches this planet from somewhere else, their technology must perforce be somewhat ahead of ours, at least in some aspects, because we haven't yet quite reached the point where we can do it.

Therefore, they are a race which has progressed, at least in some respects, beyond our state of development. In order to understand the actions of such a race, we can only look through the other end of the telescope as it were on this planet, where we find similar situations. We realize, unless it's pointed out to them, that we have upon this planet

several races of human beings like ourselves, central Brazil, several in central Australia, that have never achieved the bow and arrow. Human beings on this planet that have not yet achieved the bow and arrow. There are many races in those vicinities who haven't gone much beyond the bow and arrow, but there are some races that haven't achieved it.

They are still in a stone age in every respect. Their tools, their implements are stone. They have no written language. They have no rapid means of conversing. They have very limited vocabularies. They have no way of recording history. They are 20,000 years behind us from a technological standpoint.

Six to eight hours easy travel by jet aircraft from some of our greatest centers of civilization. It's a rather remarkable thing. They're eight hours away and 20,000 years behind. And to the telescope, these races, they say, have no means of spreading knowledge,

perpetuating it. As a race, they know nothing whatever about us. Totally unable to comprehend, even if we made an attempt or someone made an attempt to explain to them. A little bit about these races, because we do have a few missionaries and a few explorers

who occasionally penetrate to the periphery of their domain and bring back reports and pictures. We do have rapid means of news communication and so the knowledge that's available to one person soon becomes available to all if they are interested. People have no such means of perpetuating knowledge as the race have no knowledge of us at all

and would be unable to understand even if an attempt was made to explain. But we do have jet aircraft that occasionally fly over the areas in which these people live and which must occasionally be seen by them, which must raise quite a bit of controversy over what these things are

in a race that hasn't yet achieved the bow and arrow. For example, a case where a native has wounded an antelope in the jungle where the village is located, but it's on the edge of a large open plain or pampa, as it would be called in South America. Having wounded the antelope, the antelope fled out into the open plain
