[00:00] Opening remarks and introduction

It is my privilege to introduce Reg Dutta, B-A-F-Z-S. Reg Dutta had an expansion of consciousness in 1953. We have all had such initiatory experiences of one type or another. Oh, we would not be here today. Reg Dutta's already expanded consciousness was expanded still further when he came into direct contact with a flying saucer. He will tell you about this experience. Since that time in 1953,

he has been addressing, director of the Flying Saucer Review. And his experience also taught him to delve deeply into the ancient wisdom. And he has done this since that time, mainly with the Theosophical Society. My friends, I introduce to you Reg Dutta. Mr. Chairman, friends, two points of view.

First, anything I say is merely a personal point of view. It doesn't implicate any organization, particularly the TS. Secondly, I thank you very much, Mr. Chairman, for your very kind introduction. A little overwhelming. I assure you, please don't misunderstand it. All I did was come into the saucer field, if you like, in 1953. By reading a book, and since have been extremely interested in the subject.

But beyond that, I don't go. Now, before the talk, which is on the esoteric significance of saucers, as I understand, our friends, the BBC, are here. And as there was this very good program last night for an hour and a quarter on BBC TV, you might perhaps like a very short summary of it. And I hope our friends, the BBC, will not be too cross if I make a comment or two on the program. Basically, it was a very good one.

Basically, it was very fair. Basically, it intended to show the people who see saucers, rather than the theories about them. And it was done by a professional hypnotist. And as so often happens in Earth life, if one's a professional anything or other, whatever it might be, one tends to look at it from that point of view. And it's...

It sometimes happens that that point of view is a little too narrow. It can be. It can happen to anybody, the saucer man included. They showed, for example, photographs. Mrs. Oldfield, a lady who was flying from London to Blackpool, took a photograph through the window of the aircraft, and the BBC then, they say afterwards, reproduced it and proved to their own satisfaction that all she saw was the tail fin of the airplane.

But please, Mr. BBC, do be honest. Mrs. Oldfield... Mrs. Oldfield said she saw that thing through the window with her eyes, i.e. she was not looking through the curved bit at the corner where your camera was, where it comes through the curved bit, distorts the fin, retreats, and the fin disappears. This, frankly, is cheating, sir. Also, her husband simultaneously saw it visually, both with eyes looking through the center of the porthole.

Then she sent him to get the camera while she was still looking at it. Then he came. He came back, could still see it, then they photographed it, and you can't cheat that into just a viewpoint of a camera through the curved end of a porthole. Similarly, they showed a sighting, a very good one in America of Zorocco, a police patrolman hears an explosion, goes down there, in time to see the saucer rising, and goes away. The professional hypnotist is pleased to think that this policeman, with a good record,

is a hypnotic subject, and was hallucinating himself. Would you please note, Mr. BBC, first, the scorch marks on the ground, which were found by the second policeman. Second, the additional policeman also saw the saucer going away. Was he hallucinated, too? Three, the landing marks, which are still there, and which your own film showed. Was that hallucination and hypnotic subject, too? These sort of cheats, which are still there, and which your own film showed,

Was that hallucination and hypnotic subject, too? these sort of cheats, Mr. BBC, are the treatment which is just not fair. I'd continue with this all through. Thank you very much. And if you want details, I'll go through them, but frankly, it's not worth it. They also showed a very fine BOAC pilot, Captain Howard, who watched the saucers for 20 minutes with his co-pilot, his crew, the passengers, and so on. And the feeling that Captain Howard brought out,

the hypnotist was trying to say, were you afraid of them, saucers? And Captain Howard and his crew and the stewardess who came on TV said, no, it was friendly. We felt a sense of loss when they had gone. And that was the keynote all the way through. The policeman at Sirocco, the hypnotist was trying to say, were you afraid? And he said, yes, of the flames. And he said, are you afraid? He said, no, of the flames which were coming up.

And I waited until the flames finished before I went. Of the saucer, I was not afraid. And this sense of loss when they have gone, I think, was the keynote of Captain Howard. He had a lovely face, lovely voice, so had the stewardess. And I feel their sincerity and honesty came through. And all the people interviewed had this note of love, non-fear, non-separativeness, a positive factor. And I'm afraid the hypnotist kept harping on, fear.

And it ended on a keynote which I'd like again to draw your attention to. It's a very dangerous thing to make prophecies, but it's as well to be awake. That program ended with the suggestion that people who see saucers tend to be hypnotic subjects. Now, and this was the key line right at the end, and perhaps it was missed. To be hypnotized, you need a hypnotist. And the implication left at the end, not stated explicitly, but left at the end, positively can be developed later if we're not careful, is that somebody hypnotized these people.

And that somebody was a saucer. Or the beings in the saucer. No, but this danger of planting fear in humanity's mind of the unknown is one that we've had since the day humanity came. And if you look at the saucer field, the rhythm is this. 1947, expression flying saucers is born. For seven years, a rather interesting number, seven, till 54, round the planet we talked of saucers.

Round the planet, whether you were Chinese, American, English, Dutch, Greek or Turkish, all your newspapers, all your governments talked of saucers. And that was fine. Then came a censorship. Sorry about the word, but if you look through the newspapers of the world, you will find this is true, and this is an academic exercise. Anybody can do. It's quite easily repeatable by anybody.

1954, no mention of saucers, whether it's the Chinese press or an American or Russian. Interesting combination. Before that, plenty. This period of silence lasted. Then came another period of ridicule. If you saw a saucer, if you believed in saucers, you were a crank. Then came the period of conventional explanations. It was a balloon.

After we put up the first satellite, it was a satellite. It was temperature inversion. It was high-flying geese. It was some darn thing or other. It was the tail fin of this plane seen through the corner. Any conventional explanation. Then, last of all, came the period of flat denial. And about every six months, you had the United States Air Force getting up and saying they don't.

And while they kept on saying they don't exist, hundreds upon thousands of people kept seeing them. Trained personnel. People in the air. People on ground. Some of the sightings, tonight I don't need to go into what we call the nuts and bolts approach, proving the reality. Though this must first be done before we can examine the esoteric significance. But the nuts and bolts approach is easily done. For example, you get an aircraft flying in the air.

The pilot sees it and locks on with his radar. That's visual and radar. Simultaneously, ground control see it visually. And ground radar picks it up. So you've got a four-fold check. And there are many such instances. If you want, I can give you these. So, my friends, let's get on to the subject, the esoteric significance.

What are sources for? Why are they here? If the reality is agreed, how long have they been here? And this was the first shock in investigation that I found. Others may have been prepared for it. I was quite happy to scratch around with radar films, landing reports. And like many people, I thought life began more or less with cricket and the public school, you know. Before that, it was some barbarian somewhere.

And sources are mentioned in the Bible. All right. Sources are mentioned in the Vedas, the Hindu Vedas. Whatever the date of the Vedas, there's certainly at least 5,000 B.C. So that's 7,000 years. If you want to argue about that date, sources were mentioned by the pharaohs of Egypt. Well, now, if sources have been here since the pharaohs of Egypt, why haven't they done the sensible, practical thing like landing in Hyde Park, shooting up a few grenadier guards, and having tea with the queen?

[10:48] Main address

I mean, that's the proper thing to do, isn't it? Then you'd understand them. And then if they go on and show us how to make a bigger gun and shoot at somebody else, well, then we give them a, you know, they're fine. We all clap. Instead of that, they fool around. They've been here for thousands of years. They haven't yet landed in Hyde Park in force.

Why? Therefore, they don't exist. But then the down things keep appearing on radar. One of the things last night on this film, it showed that there was a very nice man who'd filmed the saucer through his car. Then you get this tame scientist hanging models. Models outside a similar car, photographing it with a similar camera and proving that you could more or less fake. And you were left with that. Except they had the decency to go on and show the experiment in Norway in 1954.

The Norwegian government wanted to photograph an eclipse of the sun. It sent up three separate aircraft, specially equipped, 50 scientists aboard, hand-picked equipment, no glass in the porthole so that you wouldn't get refraction of light, all this sort of thing. They photographed the eclipse of the sun. They're descending. They're at 10,000 feet. And suddenly, all three separate aircraft see these two flying saucers. The chief cameraman hurriedly unpacks his equipment and takes a 10-second color film of saucers. Now, can you honor, which was shown last night on TV, and thank you very much for that, Mr. BBC.

It was really well done. But can you honestly imagine the chief cameraman, on the spur of the moment, in the presence of 49 scientific witnesses, flying at 10,000 feet, faking a color film? You see, and the saucers were there, metallic, revolving, two of them. So, we get back to these questions. Why don't the darn things land in Hyde Park? And then you get stories, at least I got stories. As the change in consciousness the chairman referred to was, if you like, I was a businessman,

or still I'm supposed to be, and changed to a theosophist. I couldn't understand it with a nuts and bolts mind why the saucers wouldn't land. I couldn't understand why, if there was intelligence in these things, the maneuverability they had, the clear pattern they showed, why there wasn't contact. So I started looking for contacts. People, Earth people, who have had contact with saucers. And I found, to my intense surprise, that there are over 3,000 known contacts. Known contacts.

Because it's my personal belief that only the failures and the martyrs are known. 3,000. Well if, Mr. Chairman and friends, you don't even know the names of these people, let alone you haven't read their stories, and if you've dismissed it, in the name of truth, what are you acting in except ignorance and prejudice? I started investigating these in the same sort of way one might do a market research before putting a product out. It's no good seeing one man, or two, at least not sufficient good seeing one or two.

And many people here will know three or four names. But there were 3,000. I personally met, personally wrote to, or personally read the stories of 50. 50 earthlings who say they have been for a ride in a saucer or had a contact with saucers. Well, it's entirely your privilege to think that I'm hallucinated, gullible, etc. But you would do perhaps better to do the investigation yourself and see the reality. And each time the standard questions were asked by the earthlings. To the saucer people, they said,

Why me? I'm nobody. Why don't you go to the prime minister? Why don't you go to the government scientist? Somebody who counts. And that was a standard question. And the other question was, Where does the saucer come from?

Now, those two questions, and why don't they land at Hyde Park, that triple approach is the one that brought me to a belief in saucers, if that's the word, a knowledge of saucers, if that's the word. At any rate, a totally different viewpoint. And I couldn't answer it with nuts and bolts. I had to go beyond the five senses. And I think everybody in this room has done that, otherwise you wouldn't be here. You'd be at the local bingo hall or something like that.

So, what was the essential common point? In that sense of market research, I wanted to know what was the factor in the contactee, in the earthling. Why was that one there? Why was that one picked and not the prime minister or the president? Or the archbishop? Or the caliph? Or the great temple priest?

Or anybody else you like? Or the commissar? I don't mind. Anything. What was the quality? Would you like to guess, ladies and gentlemen? Anybody tell me. What was the common factor in these 50 earthlings?

There were men. There were women. They were old. They were young. They were so-called educated. They were so-called simple people. Polypenesan islands as well. Polypenesan islands as well as England as well as anywhere else.

Do you know the common factor I think I found? Would you like to guess? Evolved souls. Evolved souls. Yes. But what was the manifesting quality? Love. What?

Love. Yes. But how does love manifest? It's a word we use and throw about. Open mind. Open mind. No. Many of them had never even heard of sources.

What? What? What? Humility. What? Yes, we've had this. What? Humility.

Humility. You see, it's the last thing we come to. And when we look at it, humility, gentleness it was, was my word for it. And yet this is the essential quality of a spiritual being. It's the most difficult, I think. It's the thing that comes last. And then the point was, why does it come last? It can only come, true humility, not the pretend stuff, you know.

When you're not separate from, when you're not above looking down, when you're not on the within and the other chaps without. There really is this flow and this oneness. And it doesn't matter whether it's the Buddhas, the Christ, the Zoroasters, the Troth, the Hermes, Osiris. It doesn't matter who. It doesn't matter if it's Narayama, the great god of the Atlanteans, forty hundreds of thousands of years ago.

It doesn't matter. This quality of gentleness. And that was a striking thing. And the man and the woman and the child who has gentleness in this physical world today doesn't usually become the chap with the big medals. At least I don't think so. And that was my first shock. And then I, what was the sort of differentiation in this gentleness?

What was the, what was the difference? differentiation in this gentleness why was he gentle and he full of medals this chap has all the newspaper publicity this chap has got a famous name this fellow's never known you take the allegory this is a christian country by and large you take the story of jesus whether it's true or not i don't want to go into that but he was born in the local salt mines if you were in rome at the time imperial rome you'd never heard of judea you had to look in a map to find it if he were the son of god why wasn't he born caesar in rome presumably could have been done and then next minute you'd have had the legions around your neck and look chum at 1105 you're a

christian or else well that wouldn't do any good why wasn't the buddha born on the peacock throne at delhi all he had was a begging bowl you muhammad prophet muhammad he didn't even have a camel later came all the great big cathedrals and mosques and everything else and temples but the great beings themselves had nothing except gentleness it was a shattering thought and then i began coming back to this hyde park business supposing they landed in hyde park what good would it do if again coming back to say jesus i mentioned him only because we're in england if this were talk in india

and delhi it would be the lord krishna the beloved if it weren't damaskus it would be allah the compassionate to me there is a oneness of life and these beings are all of the one oneness but that's a personal view which one need not accept the thing is what good would it do if the christ consciousness materialized now and sat on this platform if there is truth in the christ consciousness presumably there's nothing or nothing on earth which would prevent it materializing now and if it has this love and compassion which i believe the great beings have to help humanity why not do it is this not the same as asking the sources to land in hyde park and then what is it they want us to learn this expansion of consciousness is a word we throw

about love is a word we throw about we need to throw them about because we've got to learn from them but what is it that we've got to learn how do we become gentle now it was these questions ladies and gentlemen that if you like changed my viewpoint to life and don't not please pretending any more than that looking for it looking for beyond the five senses and then i began to sort of learn to spell this word spiritual for example which was before that rather unfashionable and i can only give it to as i find it um as i say it's only a personal viewpoint learning i did history amongst other things at universities i take that line of approach looking at a broad view i began looking at the story of mankind on this planet

well i believe in atlantis i believe in lemuria i believe in these evolutionary great arcs of growth and it is said that there are sort of seven steps i don't would you accept this just as a fairy tale just as a story i don't know can you hear me i don't want to keep bending down to this thing fine if you're here you've got spirit here you've got matter actually i don't believe the two are separate there's a oneness i don't believe the cockroach is separate from an archangel there's a oneness i don't believe this little village planet earth is separate from a star 100 million years ago i think there's going to be a futureaka god bless you god bless you thank you how you do it thank you for your time thank you very much see you in the next session thank you

or a hundred million years hence. There's a oneness. All is one. But take spirit, an involutionary arc downwards into matter, an evolutionary arc back into spirit. And it is said, first root race,

these seven steps, where coming down from spirit, first differentiation, first veiling towards matter, you get the first sense all over you, sense of touch. Second sense, coming down a little bit further,

the second differentiation, a little more detailed sense of hearing, which you can only localize here rather than elsewhere. Third root race, tremendous turning point in man's history, where spirit and matter begin to meet, where man first gets a physical body. Time of Lemuria,

the land under the Pacific, some 18 millions of years ago, in the Christian allegory, the fall of man, if you like. I don't want to go into, local politics. And man gets his first,

his third quality, that of sight, spirit and matter. Up to now, perhaps he's been on rails, now he has his free will, he can fall. And the struggle,

the age old one we know, of spirit and matter. Fourth root race, Atlantis, man is densifying down, this tall, loose, incorrect body of the Lemurians, in the Atlanteans,

is tightened down to about 8-10 feet. And, the fourth sense, that of taste. Then the fifth root race, to which you and I, and the rest of us on this planet, perhaps belong.

Where we've got our fifth sense, that of mind, sorry, fifth sense, that of taste. And we're developing and showing this fifth quality, which is mind. We're as far away from spirit,

as it's almost possible to go. In fact, the new god we worship, called science, denies the very existence, of spirit. But, humanity is refusing to do this.

It is turning. We call it, in our jargon, the turning point. And, millions of us, are striving, yearning,

searching, for something more. We're coming up this return arc, as distinct from the downward. Our sixth sense, our seventh sense, sixth root race, seventh root race,

and back here. And this one, is now, different facets. This downward arc, when the drive out into matter, which was necessary to form a center, to form this physical body,

from which later we can radiate. Down here in separateness, and selfishness. Here in unity, and therefore in love. Here we take, here we give. Now, if this very story is acceptable to you,

it was to me, it gives an explanation, of why, for example, the sources don't land in Hyde Park. Why the Atlantean God, Narayama, four million years ago, why Osiris,

why Troth, why Hermes, why Zoroaster, why Buddha, why Jesus, why Mohammed, why all this golden thread of teachers, didn't land,

or didn't arrange to be born Caesar in Rome. How can you force a man, to change from hate, to love. From selfishness, to selflessness. From taking, to giving.

If you're a Christian, for two thousand years, you've been learning, to love your neighbor. If you're a Muslim, for a long period, you've been trying to, show the will of God,

which is oneness. If you're a Hindu, Krishna the beloved, and his flute, divine harmony, playing through you. What is divine harmony? What are all these things,

love and so on, except, non separatism. And how can you do it, by punching a bloke on the nose? How can you do it, by coming in, down to Hyde Park,

and shooting up the grenadiers? It's pointless. And who's going to do it? Except you. If something, or someone, could have done it, it would have been done.

Narayama would have done it, in Atlantis, and we wouldn't have had any more. Wouldn't have had any wars, disease, disease, all the rest of it. But we had,

apparently, to form this selfish center. Some of us formed it quicker, and went on, and became, what we're pleased to call, initiates, masters,

and so forth. I believe in such beings, by the way. I don't wish to, either offer a personal opinion, too strongly, or to decry anybody else's. But this pattern,

of involution, evolution, gave me a link. Now this is extraordinary difficult, to put over, in a nuts and bolts world. I took a personal stand, in 53,

and said I believed in it, and by about 54, I'd arrived roughly at this, sort of mental conclusion, at any rate, and was talking about it. Was fool enough, to talk about it.

And therefore, was obviously, a crank, and so on. But, I was also a businessman, in my business, I deal with,

the tycoon, it's a luxury trade. And by the time, the tycoon, is gone, it's gone, it's gone, it's gone,

it's gone, it's gone, it's gone, it's gone, it's lost, it's gone, it's gone, it's gone...

outfits. And by the time that, coloer or whatever, had kinda dealt with me in business, he realized I wasn't, quite such a fool, and then he began to listen. And the people began,

to ask me to talk. And now you can have, subject to flying saucers, on a talk like this, and the BBC, putting on a show, last not... last night.

This is a great, growth of evolution. This is a great thing, I think, we owe people, like Josef Busby, and his wife Louise, who are doing,

this sort of thing, muslim christian or russian because there's nothing wrong with being an atheist it's just another version of being some other thing we've all got this involutionary arc evolutionary arc and we have got to on our own two flat feet go and make the change that i believe was the first question of why they didn't land in hyde park now the next thing let's bring in our friends the russians because the atheist is a place if there's anything that's true in this consciousness of the one life whether it's a jesus or muhammad or a krishna or anything they liked the lot i cannot conceive of any of these beings saying i like him but i don't like him i know we do that and we have

lovely wars about it but i cannot conceive it of the beings themselves and this is what i find with the sources they don't care they're two hoots which part of the village we live in planet earth peloponnesian islands or london to them it's the same there's a oneness of life and they're just as interested in the cockroach as they are in any of the big metals that we so like that was another thing this very expression flying sources i'll be talking of its origin in a minute but its universality is the thing with our nuts and bolts mind we like to give it importance this word isn't serious enough we want unidentified flying objects

you have to be careful of what you're talking about because it's something which has got some more show-off in it but the simplest peasant in africa or asia or in mayfair knows what a sorcerer is it's universal and it's simple and this to me is again the keynote of sources and this to me is again the keynote of anything esoteric all the rest is show-off separative involutionary arc as ideologies tambourine soul

heavenly magic dreamy and same reality scrapped magic shows

job 0 end wholesale slavery obsidian syrup blazed

they took to the russians there they're taught there isn't a god it's just a variation of the one taught here where there is a god or a particular version of it the oneness is still there i believe and the russian academy of sciences began noticing some impulses from out in deep space i've forgotten the name of the star they called it it was some fantastic distance like 100 million light years away and they watched it for about a year and at the end of the year they gave out the frequency the time the place and they asked anybody on the planet who was sufficiently interested to watch these impulses because they believed it showed life in other planets and you know of course that our astronomers all our astronomers and so on believe there's life

in other planets and if there are perhaps a thousand million planets out there if 10 people are on the planet they're not on the planet they're not on the planet they're not percent are inhabited only, well that gives you a huge number which have got inhabitants. And if only 10 percent of those are more advanced than us, with all our conceit, that gives you plenty of places from which sources can come. And the Russians gave these facts, and we were asked to watch for a year, and I don't know whether you remember in the papers a little while ago, several months, that it came out in a flare in the headlines, the Russians say there's a super civilization

out there, next day or so, Jodrell Bank says, oh no, it was only a natural phenomenon, the thing was forgotten. But these were the facts behind, first, we've been asked to watch for a whole year around the planet. Secondly, the impulses came through alternately like this, 100 percent strength, 80 percent strength, 100 percent strength, 80 percent strength. Now we have no technology on this earth which can phase down that volume of strength from 100 to 80, and then bring it up to 100 again.

It's beyond the wildest dreams of science fiction, and it answers the second question of contacts, what language do they speak? Here it was mind to mind, whatever language you did or did not speak, you could understand 100 percent, 80 percent, 100 percent, 80 percent.

[33:00] Development of the main themes

The thing was so strong, this signal, that it was almost an argument for it being natural phenomena. Then the phasing was so vast, 100 to 80 and back, that again it was an argument for it being natural phenomena. But the signals came out every 100 days. Now the coincidences of it being every 100 days, regularly phased, take it beyond the ordinary realms of possibility of natural phenomena. And it was on these bases that the Russians were asking us to look.

And they said, it was super. Super civilization trying to contact us. Now the point of all that is, appealing mind to mind, making minds think around the planet, be it Russian, be it American. What happened? The easiest thing was just to deny it, which Jodrell Bank did. But the thinking went on. And people began to realize it couldn't be natural phenomena.

Then there was another question. If this thing came with the speed of light, 100 to 80, 60, 100 to 80, 100 to 80, 100 to 180, 6,000 miles a second, and took 100 million years or whatever it was to come here, how did that bloke know that in 100 million years there'd be a thing here called Russia? And how communicates to it? And then we come to the other thing, that maybe these people move with the speed of thought. Maybe they don't go from point A to point B along that plane, but come to a within plane,

we call it the mental, and then out again. And you can move as quickly as you want. And you can move as quickly as you want. And you can move as quickly as that to Venus and back. Because otherwise, how do you explain signals so long ago? Because there was another factor with sources. For example, radio waves go up to the ionosphere or somewhere like that and come down again in a given number of seconds.

You can't hurry them. You can't slow them down. It's way beyond the wildest reach of science fiction. When sources are about, they often take the radio wave. Hold it for three seconds and then release it. Now that again is mind to mind. Any technician can understand it and no technician has the faintest idea of how to do it. And again, it begins to make you think.

And I believe that the second question that the contactee asked, why me? Why not the government scientist, is related to the Christ not being born Caesar in Rome, but being in the local society. He says, why not the Christ being born Caesar in Rome? Why not the Christ not being born Caesar, but being born Caesar in Rome. So he said, why not the Christ not being born Caesar in Rome? Isn't that the question. He said I have to say this and this, and this, and this, this.

But I then think that you must understand that it's a very, very beautiful thing to do. This is what he wanted to teach us today. I don't believe truth is dramatic it's not very sudden again I don't believe truth is sudden not real truth if it had been dramatic and sudden Jesus would have just done it

he'd come here now Krishna would no doubt join him and so would the others but it isn't done that way clearly it's not we know that from history and we've got to grow we need these guides

we need these helps we need this getting together we need the phenomena in the sky but it's your flat feet that you need as much as anything else to get you on your way why was the allegory of the Christ going through on an ass

what was the ass except you and I what was the star upstairs except your inner self and mine and what was the difference between your inner self and my inner self all the spiritual content of this little village earth

and the spiritual content of a star a hundred million light years away do you mean there's a separate God for that one and a separate God for this village or is there a oneness and that oneness isn't linked in time not limited to time did it really start a couple of thousand years ago

or ten thousand years ago you mean there wasn't a oneness before nuts and bolts scientists are finding relics of humanity now eighty millions of years ago you mean there wasn't a God then he only started up with the public school or something

these are the sort of questions sources put it back straight to us and they're not going to take sides in this village like this bloke, dislike that this again was the gentleness of all the great people they liked the lot

including the cockroach well I seem to be nagging you Mr. Chairman and friends didn't really mean to I go on perhaps of these contacts because these are the standard questions

again what do they look like where do they come from what language do they speak what food do they eat do they travel on number eleven bus you know uh... the next period of research was into the types of sources it wasn't very long before we cataloged sixteen different types

they range from the round things like that about a foot in diameter which are unmanned up to big motherships uh... the biggest of the unmanned we believe is three foot in diameter how do we get to it well we had uh... we we've got um...

friends around the planet scattered around the planet there's vast numbers of people interested in sources and on one particular occasion we had a hundred and eighteen reports from one place in Denmark where this sourcer this unmanned one three foot in diameter followed people landed in the fields was ahead of them uh.. sort of circled, wegged off, and so on.

118 reports. One of the 118, the thing landed by the side of a man riding one of these scooters, Vespa scooters, and it came up to the handlebars, and we measured up to the handlebars, which was just exactly one meter, and gives the diameter pretty neatly. These flying television sets, if you like, pick up not only sound and vision, but thought and feeling. Well, fortunately, one doesn't need to defend that in a gathering like this, because, for example, you know that Marconi, before he died, was working on a machine to pick up thought and feeling. And I'm sure most of us would be sensitive to auras and so on.

We are going beyond the nuts and bolts, beyond the five senses. And these unmanned flying television sets not only pick up thought and feeling from you and I, not only seem to be able to focus. So that the saucer occupants can examine areas or individuals, even pinpointing down onto an individual, even, if you like, pinpointing onto the previous lives of the individuals, because the saucers all seem to take reincarnation for granted, as does most of this village Earth. It's only local parts of it which don't. And then they seem to be able to radiate influences.

Well, we'd all go along with this. We know of magnetic centers. We know of all these things. We know of that. Then the conventional saucer, which is like two plates, one above the other, which is 16-foot diameter, usually a crew of two or three. These are the ones normally seen. Bigger versions are motherships and so on.

Where do they come from? At least four different places. The mainstream, I believe, is Venus. I'm awfully sorry if you're stuck with carbon dioxide clouds and 400 degrees centigrade. If there were time, I would go into it. Frankly, it won't stand up to critical examination at all. And any really open-minded scientist will tell you that, at the moment, it's merely a hypothesis. Disposing of the carbon dioxide cloud very quickly, the sources have always said it's a protective layer

above the surface of the planet Venus. And this was hotly disputed on Earth until we set up our Sputniks and Explorer 3, the American Explorer 3, which was on its way then to the Moon in 1958. It was the first Sputnik with the best equipment aboard. When it was only 50 miles off the surface of planet Earth, it was radioing back. There's no oxygen on Earth, there's no moisture on Earth, and therefore there's no life on Earth. Because, apparently, 50 miles up, that was the condition. But even most of us realize that there needs to be some form of life on Earth, low or otherwise.

And that sort of surface of protective layer became that. Now, the 4,400-degree centigrade business is absolute, I believe, easily proved guff. Would you like to think of the last one, the Russian experiment, which landed by parachute, and it took an hour and a half, do you remember this in the papers, and then it was radioing back information? Well, you show me the parachute, which will stand up to 4,000 degrees centigrade for an hour and a half, and you show me the missile, which won't melt, in 4,000 degrees centigrade for an hour and a half.

That doesn't seem to have occurred to many people. And if you study, as I think one eventually must study, these esoteric subjects from within, I took Madame Blavatsky's Secret Doctrine on that, and the detailed way of how the physical elements were formed, earth, air, fire, water, and so on, and temperature, and the variations and different qualities of it on this planet and another planet, and there is an explanation of all this beyond the subject for today, but there is there. So, there are 16 types of sources from 4 main places at any rate, of which the Venusian is the mainstream.

By the way, tomorrow at 2 o'clock there's going to be another talk on sources, and I'm sorry to tell you, but I'm on it too, and we're going to take this Venusian theme particularly then, and particularly detail it with some colleagues. So, I will leave that. Sorry, losing my thread. Yes, thank you so much. Four types of sources and these people. Now, they're coming here to help. The point is, why do they come to help?

This struck me again very strongly, this esoteric side. Why did the Christ, or the Buddha, or Muhammad, Why did the Christ, or the Buddha, or Muhammad, come to help? You see, what, for example, did the Christ want from you and I? What did he come here to get? Now, do you and I ever really give? You know, we'll have a tea party, we'll put out the tea cakes, we'll have our friends there,

we'll be very happy if they eat the cakes, but we expect to be asked back. And if they don't ask us back, we'll give another tea party. And if those miserable lot of so-and-so's don't ask us back the third time, we bargain. We don't give. Now, sources come here in love, and we can't understand it. If they came here to trade, if they wanted our plutonium or something, or they wanted to colonize the earth or something like that, as I say, we'd understand that, that would be fine.

But they come here to help, and they don't land Hyde Park. They see some little bloke and they say, love, spiritual love. And man says, oh, well, I've heard that. I mean, anybody's been saying that. And this involution-evolution thing, this gentleness. And then the little man who's had the contact says, well, what can I do? I mean, why don't you go to the Prime Minister, he'd come on TV and tell you. Well, what can I do? And he writes a book, and you and I don't read it. Did you know there are 220 books in English alone on sources?

You and I don't read it. But you have come to listen to another bloke talking on it. And in this talk, in this rapport, consciousness will grow. Your consciousness will help mine, perhaps mine will help yours a little bit. In our joint interplay, it isn't you teaching me or me teaching you. That's separateness. That's a dead loss. But you and I together, each going help along, and taking the cockroach along, and that star over there. Not just my cricket team. This is the whole point. And if you sniff at the Peloponnesian Islands, it's too bad, it's time you grew.

And if you're stuck in any particular form, it's just too bad, it's time you grew. Until you get out of that down form, you're not going to get very near either sources or gentleness. And that's true. And syrup doesn't help. And there's no syrup with sources. No lovely, dramatic guff-guffs. No beautiful build-up. Initiation through you. Me. Three and nine, cash down. . On your own flat feet, you've got to reach it. And if you take one life, or forty-four lives, help yourself. It's up to you.

Well, then my last point. Why doesn't the sorcerer materialize here? And why can he take a contact and he not? What has he done to get this quality of gentleness? And I then came into technical jargon. What were beyond these five senses? You remember, I've just given you this very quick picture of the root races. The first, second, third, fourth, fifth sense, all of which we know, and the sixth and the seventh. Clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, whatever you like. Telepathy is now fashionable. And it's sources which have brought it on.

Our program last night on the BBC mentioned telepathy. They twisted it to telepathic hypnotism from the sorcerer on you and I, which is a pity. But telepathy we know. And I was physically handling the sorcerer reports, which incidentally are still running. Thousands of them. Oh, hundreds of thousands a year, actually. Piles of the darn thing. And over and over again it said, I don't know why I went to the window. But this telepathic contact. Something made me look up. Over and over again. And this telepathy, of course, is part of this permeability, part of this oneness, part of this love, of this arc.

Responsiveness. You've got to be sensitive to each other. I don't mean stupidly sensitive, but responsive in it. And it's again the quality of sources. This explains to me why they have such difficulty coming down to planet Earth. People say, why don't they come and have lunch? But if you really can read thoughts as clearly as they can, would you like to be on any city in Earth? London, or Washington, or Peking, or Delhi, or Moscow, or anything? The thoughts that we've got. Selfish, jagged things.

If you really can read that. I'd rather sit in a dung heap with dung all over me. It's more pleasant. And then you look at the noise we have in our cities. You look at the emotional surges we have, the very extremes we have. We start coffee and ice cream, hot and cold, the extremes, all away from the midpoint of balance.

[49:12] Questions and closing discussion

The point of balance between the within and the without, between spirit and matter, between meditation and the outer world. All this midpoint, the center, where really one is humble, gentle, truthful, beautiful. And this beauty of the Venusian is the thing that shows through. They have it in their men, they have it in their women, because women come too. The Earthlings who go for a ride all seem to have this inner beauty. It doesn't necessarily show through into the physical. It shows very often in their eyes.

And don't we in all our allegories of all our greater beings have that quality inside, that within-out? And it would come, if continuing my story of the root traces, we have come down to the fifth root trace. The Venusians apparently are in the sixth root trace, because there's more than one village in this universe. And in that sixth root trace they would give rather than take. They wouldn't bargain, they would have this love. They'd give that tea party without wanting the cakes back. And it would understand why they've been here helping this growing humanity for all these millions of years. Without recognition.

Without the big medals. Quietly. And they've got to go on for a long time yet. And perhaps in the law of Kerma, later this humanity of this village Earth will have to repay to another humanity, younger still, coming. To me that picture balances. And that's virtually the last thing. You've got to do it yourself. You've got to get the involution, evolution change on your own flat feet.

You have your examples. It is the gentleness, the non-separatist, the non-dramatic, all this unifying thing which is the one. And then the last clue. The very expression, flying saucers. For those who have eyes to see. This year, by the way, is the 21st anniversary, the 3-7. If you're interested in numerology and things like that. Have you ever thought of that expression, flying saucers?

It was June the 24th, 1947. Before that, saucers had been seen. The Romans called them flying chariots in the sky. The Christians called them flying saucers. Wheels in their Bible. The Vedas called them ships up there. Other people called them lights. Everybody.

But nobody had a common tag to unify them. And June the 24th, the anniversary is coming up next month, was this expression. Now, 24th of June, 1947. 24, the double 12. Always the 12 has been a mystic number. If you're a Christian, the 12 apostles. The 12 signs of the zodiac. The 12 inner petals of the crown chakram, if you're an esoteric student.

12. The double 12. The night and day. The spirit and the matter. The good and the evil. So-called separates. Actually, one. 6, June. 6, the number of the new age.

1947. Added together. 21, the three 7s. Where did he see them? Mount Rainier. A mountain. Always the spirit. As distinct from the valley.

How many peaks did Mount Rainier have? Three. The Trinity, so often found in the exoteric religions. How many sources were there? Nine. Not the ten of perfection of Plato. Nine of initiation, where you've got to do it on your own two flat feet first. And the nine sources go in and out of the three peaks.

What was happening at the same time? A conjunction of planets. Which planets? Venus. This sixth root race. Spiritual love. And what else? Jupiter.

Higher mind. The inner consciousness. Now, was the whole of that an accident? Or did you have eyes to see? And that really is my story, ladies and gentlemen. And I end where I began. Please, this is a personal viewpoint and it doesn't implicate any association. Thank you.

Thank you very much. I'm a bit overwhelmed. Was I dodging time? Do you want another five minutes? I'll just tell you. I did stop, actually, two or three minutes early. Oh, there's my five-minute warning line. May I give you five minutes?

Yes, all right. One of the things that people often say about sources is, if these things are manifestly true, which I believe they are, and basically people are honest and nice, even though it's involution, they're trying this evolutionary arc, why don't the governments, for example, announce it? You might be interested to know that five governments already have announced the reality of sources. I'm afraid it's not published in England, but I can't help that.

Venezuela, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Norway, and Philippines. It's quite a... Norway was partly influenced by that story. I told you of that film where they had the 50 scientists and the three aircraft, and they've got that, but not wholly by that, many more stories. Now, why don't these people then, authority, announce the reality of sources? Well, it cuts across everything that we seem to hold dear. It doesn't go against what we hold dear, but it cuts across.

What's the things we hold dear? First of all, of course, is gold. Well, if you're interested in economics, if you've got a job, and we've all got jobs on this planet of some sort, basically we're based, whether we're communist or capitalist is irrelevant, basically we're based on nuclear power, hydroelectric power, coal, oil, and it is on that that our jobs depend. Well, sources don't want any of it.

They use different forms of energy. They don't even want the nuclear energy that we do. We do nuclear fission, which is busting the atom, which is exploding. We're always against something, anti-gravity, anti-this, anti-that, exploding. They apparently use nuclear fusion, which is the wholeness, the working with nature instead of fighting. So, if they landed, I believe they have, I believe our governments know perfectly well,

but if they landed in Hyde Park, well, the coal fields, the oil wells, the hydroelectric works, and worst of all, the nuclear. Power stations would be useless. So, it goes obliquely across that. What's the next thing we're worried about? Politics. If you're President of the United States or Prime Minister of England, more or less the most powerful people,

or Russian communists are more or less the most powerful people, you've got it because you've got these four sources of power. And if you get free energy, Siam, for example, or Ceylon could build as many battleships, as many war missiles as you and I. And if you're President Johnson, you've got enough headaches without getting Ceylon mixed up in it. So, it goes across obliquely. Because it's not just physical power, otherwise India with 500 millions would be more powerful than England with 50 millions.

It's not even know-how because there are enough Indian scientists who could make it if they had the materials. So, it goes across there. Then, please forgive me, but our emotions. Sorry, it's only a personal viewpoint. You don't have to accept it. But it wouldn't be truthful if I didn't also express my own viewpoint. The emotions, therefore the great religious movements.

It goes right across. See, if you're a Christian and the Christ came down to help, why didn't he go and help those 100 million planets out there? Why didn't Mohammed do it? Why didn't Krishna do it? Because if those 100 million planets are there, they're just as important to the One Consciousness as the cockroach and you and I.

If you can find any difference between the cockroach and you and I. And this is a viewpoint. If the viewpoint is stuck in the village planet Earth, it's time to grow. So, it goes obliquely across. It's not against. It's not against one word in the Quran or one word in the Bible. But it goes obliquely across and it affects both.

So, you see, the implications are very deep. And it's not a light thing. And when, after this talk, I'm going to talk to the BBC man there and on my nuts and bolts approach for, you know, what, one and a half minutes on BBC TV, go on, give the truth. How can you do it? How can you tell a chap he's like a cockroach?

Except that I'm like one too. Will you all remain seated in the body of the hall, please? Please remain seated for a little while. There is the practical point that unless you remain seated, it will be impossible for the delegates in the front to get up onto the balcony in the distance there. So, would you just remain seated while they go? I'm sure we all thank Rex Ducker enormously.
